MultiCam is an advanced camouflage design created in 2002 by the US company Crye Precision, in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs), as part of the Objective Force Warrior program. The aim was to develop a versatile camouflage that remains effective across diverse terrains and shifting environmental conditions. The MultiCam pattern features seven colors that smoothly transition between shades of green, brown, and beige. This allows it to seamlessly blend into its surroundings, reflecting green hues in forested environments or browns and beiges in desert settings—making it especially effective in Central and Eastern European regions during autumn or in areas with dry vegetation. MultiCam has garnered international acclaim and is utilized by various armed forces and special units globally. In 2010, the US Army officially adopted this camouflage for troops in Afghanistan, replacing the older Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). It is also accessible to civilian users, making it a favored option for military or airsoft enthusiasts.
