I really liked the 5.11 Ridge pants for their fit and overall feel. They are comfortable, do not restrict movement, and work well both for the city and for trips out into nature. The material feels pleasant, yet at the same time durable, so they do not seem like just ordinary thin pants for a single season. The Ranger Green color looks practical, pairs well with dark clothing, and does not stand out too much. The pockets are conveniently designed; a phone, keys, and other small items fit well and do not get in the way while walking. I especially liked that the pants look understated, without excessive “tactical” styling, yet in use you can still feel the thoughtful design typical of 5.11. After several outings, the fabric keeps its shape, nothing chafes, and nothing feels tight. They may be a little too heavy for intense heat, but for spring, autumn, and cooler days they are very well suited. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase; the pants turned out to be truly versatile.
