Tru-Spec

Tru-Spec is an American brand of tactical clothing and uniforms, designed for the military and uniformed services. It is renowned for designing and producing clothing that meets high operational demands. Tru-Spec products are also popular among outdoor enthusiasts, survivalists, and everyone who needs durable and comfortable clothing for demanding conditions.

Brand Origin and Identity

The Tru-Spec brand originates from the company ATLANCO (formerly Atlanta Army Navy Company), founded in 1950 in the USA as a military surplus retailer. Over time, it transformed into a manufacturer of new clothing and equipment with specifications similar to military requirements. The name TRU-SPEC refers to "true specifications" — the idea of production according to true military specifications and quality standards.
