Craghoppers is a renowned British brand specializing in the production of outdoor clothing. It was founded in 1965 in Batley, West Yorkshire, in the United Kingdom. The founders were two outdoor activity enthusiasts: Brian Gaskin and Roy Holmes. Their goal was to create clothing that would withstand the most demanding natural conditions and enable extreme expeditions, such as climbing in the Alps or expeditions to Mount Everest.
Development and Key Moments
In 1973, the brand introduced one of the first modern waterproof jackets to the market – CagJac.
In 1975, Craghoppers played a key role during the historic British expedition to Mount Everest, providing specialized clothing for the team of climbers. The brand's clothing was also used by Junko Tabei, the first woman to conquer Everest.
