Origin and History of the Brand
The AeroPress brand was established in the United States. Its creator is Alan Adler – an American inventor and academic lecturer, who previously became famous for creating the popular flying ring Aerobie. The inspiration for the creation of the AeroPress was the desire to prepare coffee with less acidity and bitterness than that produced by traditional brewing methods. The prototype was developed in 2004, and the official launch of the device took place in 2005.
Development and Innovations
Since its debut, the AeroPress has undergone several design and material changes, but its basic operating principle has remained unchanged. In 2019, a travel version – AeroPress Go, was introduced, which is smaller and more compact. The following years brought new models, such as the transparent AeroPress Clear, the larger AeroPress XL, and the announced AeroPress Premium made of glass and steel.
