These are my first active headphones; previously I only used passive ones, so the difference is really significant. Amplifying sound during conversations also deserves recognition – the voice is clear and not irritating to the ears. The suppression of gunshot sounds is at a very good level. The set includes a 3.5mm jack cable to connect the headphones to a radio or intercom – however, the headphones only support audio playback, they do not have a microphone for transmitting (these are only for active noise reduction). You can't listen to music on them, but they work excellently when using a radio at work. The volume control buttons on the sides of the headphones change the intensity of ambient sounds – they do not affect the volume of the sound sent through the 3.5mm jack cable, which you have to adjust directly at the source.
