Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Backpack 27 l - DPM Camo - L/XL

Backpack featuring a 27-liter capacity in DPM Camo camouflage. Constructed from 500D Cordura for durability against mechanical wear. Integrates MOLLE system webbing alongside durable zippers from the renowned YKK brand. The L/XL size carrying system suits users with a torso length measurement (from the lower neck to the lumbar) between 43 - 61 cm and a waist size of 89 - 102 cm.

main compartment with 3-zip system, numerous pockets and laptop compartment

The model features a roomy main compartment, accessible via a 3-Zip system. The unique arrangement of zippers allows the backpack to be fully opened, facilitating easy removal of equipment. Inside, there's a loop fastener and four pockets (including two zippered mesh pockets and two open pockets) for straightforward organization. Located on the back wall is a 36 x 23 x 5 cm compartment for a laptop or tablet (suitable for screens up to 15 inches), easily accessible through a special opening on the back.

Furthermore, the backpack includes pockets on the flap with zippers, along with two open side pockets, ideal for carrying a water bottle or drink bottle. Every zipper is equipped with straps that make them easily operable, even while wearing tactical gloves.

MOLLE system webbing, compression straps and velcro

The MOLLE system includes numerous straps for adding extra pockets or pouches to enhance the backpack's storage capabilities. Compression straps with buckles allow for volume adjustment or additional gear attachment. A Velcro section on the top provides the option to attach any patch or emblem.

ergonomic shoulder straps, breathable mesh and carrying handle

Ergonomically designed shoulder straps along with adjustable (hip and chest) straps ensure the backpack can be precisely customized to your body shape, providing exceptional comfort and stability while hiking. Both the shoulder straps and the back panel feature mesh for excellent airflow. A practical carrying handle on the top allows for easy lifting and transportation of the backpack.

Camouflage DPM - Disruptive Pattern Material

DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material) is a traditional British military camouflage design originating from World War II, with its official version developed in the 1960s. Despite its long history, DPM served as the primary camouflage pattern for the British Armed Forces until 2016 and still sees use in some units and among cadets. This camouflage is distinguished by large, irregular patches in green, brown, beige, and black hues, effectively altering the wearer's silhouette and offering excellent concealment in forested and wooded temperate environments, particularly during spring and summer. Over the decades, the pattern has undergone subtle changes, as seen in the variations in color and the shapes of the patches.

The backpack is very practical and holds a lot of things. Many compartments and pockets allow for good organization. The only downside is the lack of ventilation on the back, which makes it easy to get sweaty.

I've had this backpack for several years and it's worth noting that this is the civilian version, not the military one – which is quite important for this model. You also need to remember to adjust the size of the straps to your own needs. If nothing has changed, the manufacturer generally ignores our market – you can't buy a waist belt or just the straps separately. The backpack is not made in the USA, and you can feel it in the quality – the foam on the back wears out quickly, and the zipper on the top flap often catches on the fabric when you zip it quickly. Despite all this, it's a very good backpack and it will be completely sufficient for most people. Personally, however, I prefer the LEAF models from Arcteryx.
