I have a slightly heavier model (1200g), so I needed something smaller and this shovel meets my expectations and the price – it's light, compact, and easy to carry. Great for basic camp activities.

Unfortunately, the low price of this entrenching tool comes at the expense of its quality. It lasted me only for two short trips, where it was used as intended (e.g. digging a shallow cooler). “Solid” is a term that fits only when digging in sand. Its only advantage is compactness, as it takes up little space when folded.
