The touchscreen functionality with these gloves works flawlessly; they're also comfortable and allow precise pressing of the buttons on the car steering wheel. Unfortunately, these are the only advantages I noticed, because they're absolutely not suitable for winter! Even at around -2°C, your hands get cold quickly and the gloves soak up water instantly – even catching dry snow is enough, and after a few minutes they'll be completely soaked ;( It's better to choose the Mechanix Wear ColdWork FastFit Plus - Covert model, which for about 199 PLN offers much better protection against the cold (up to -5°C is okay) and against getting wet, although they're also not completely waterproof ;(
Mechanix Wear ColdWork FastFit Tactical Gloves - Coyote
Insulated gloves designed for cold weather work. They effectively shield against freezing temperatures and safeguard hands from cuts and abrasions. Their precise fit ensures complete grip control without sacrificing accuracy. Perfect for survival adventures, workshop tasks, DIY projects, as well as ASG and paintball activities.
Durable softshell, fleece lining
Gloves crafted from softshell material offer moisture protection, while soft fleece insulation ensures warmth without hindering mobility. Enhanced protective panels on the palm's interior boost abrasion resistance.
Durable synthetic leather, touchscreen support
The gripping area features durable synthetic leather, enabling precise task execution. Reinforced with Armortex material, the thumb's durability is enhanced. These gloves also support touchscreen usage without needing removal.
wide cuff, anatomical stitching, nylon loops
The design includes a wide opening, allowing for quick and easy glove application. Elastic cuffs ensure a snug fit around the wrist. Anatomical stitching provides an ideal fit for the hand, while nylon loops enable easy hanging.
EN388-1111X and EN511-12X standards
The gloves comply with the protective standard EN388 at level 1111X for mechanical hazard resistance, which means:
- 1: abrasion resistance (scale 0–4)
- 1: blade cut resistance (scale 0–5)
- 1: tear resistance (scale 0–4)
- 1: puncture resistance (scale 0–4)
- X: TDM cut resistance – ISO 13997 test (scale A–F)
Cold protection is compliant with the EN511 standard at level 12X, which means:
- 1: resistance to convective cold (scale 0–4)
- 2: resistance to contact cold (scale 0–4)
- X: resistance to water penetration (0 or 1)
The scales used in the EN388 and EN511 standards indicate the level of protection provided by gloves: a value of 0 means no protection, while the highest values (4, 5) indicate maximum resistance. For water penetration: 0 means penetration, and 1 means no penetration.
The TDM (ISO 13997) test uses letter ratings, where A indicates the lowest level of protection and F the highest.
The "X" marking indicates that the parameter was not tested or is not applicable.

Yesterday I wore them for a long time and they really do not protect against the cold. Fingers and whole hands freeze a lot, even at temperatures of -7 degrees. They do not work for winter weather.
-
They fit very well. We'll see how they perform during a long walk with the detector by the sea. They seem thin and delicate. Everything was fine after unpacking. I put them on my cold hands and they serve their purpose.
-
The gloves are quite comfortable, but in my opinion, they don't provide enough warmth during frosts. They are definitely not suitable for cycling when the temperature drops below zero.
-
They are completely useless in winter, the fingertips get very cold in them, even more so than without gloves. I tried wearing regular cotton gloves underneath, but my fingers still got very cold, even though just the thin cotton ones were enough. It seems to me that the ends of these gloves actually make your fingers colder.
-
I use them when exercising outdoors. Perfect for temperatures from 0 to 5°C, and they also work well in light frost if you're on the move. Using touchscreens is very comfortable. They dry quite quickly when you sweat.
-
Even when the temperatures are above zero, my hands freeze, so it's even worse in freezing weather. I do not recommend this product, it is not worth spending money just because of the brand.
-
I liked the gloves. The quality is at a high level. I took the same size as for other gloves - XL, everything fit. These are my first Mechanix gloves and I am completely satisfied.
-
I bought these in Tan size M for my Brother for his Birthday, and he says they fit Perfect, and they are really Warm. we've had some Frosty night lately and he says "no problems". He uses them for when Driving in the winter which is like Now here. Im going to get myself a pair in L. Well made and keeps rain off. They are however not recommended for Really Tough jobs, but for the Price they’re a good buy.
-
I have the basic original Mechanix gloves, but these have a little padding and are slightly warmer. The medium here fits the same as my other Mechanix mediums, which is good to know. As the padding or insulation is pretty thin, these aren't for very cold days, but are certainly good enough for Autumn and Spring. Build quality is decent enough and the price here is quite reasonable, so a good buy overall.
-
The shoes are small and the sizing runs small, and the protection against cold leaves a lot to be desired. Although the brand has a great reputation, this model turned out to be a disappointment. I do not recommend it, unless they will cost about 50 zlotys ;)

I have several pairs of Mechanix gloves. All are well made and comfortable, although the sizing is not always consistent and the material absorbs water. These particular ones work well at the shooting range in winter because they keep my hands warm.
-
The gloves are really good – lightweight, comfortable, and carefully made. When it comes to thermal insulation, you can't expect the effect of insulated Mechanix Durahide gloves. These will make sure your hands don't get cold, but nothing more. Still, I recommend them, but not as winter gloves.
-
The gloves are made of good quality materials, very solid. I used them in winter, though they aren't especially warm – they might not be sufficient for daily use. At -7 degrees, your hands already start to get cold. They're best suited for short activities, such as at the shooting range.
-
I had a previous model, it performed well in low temperatures and served me for a long time. This model is also comfortable, light, and warm. I can honestly recommend it.
