Temperatures and usage conditions
The Ardal sleeping bag's temperature ratings conform to EN 13537 standards:
- T-comfort: 14 C – the lowest temperature at which a woman can remain comfortably asleep throughout the night.
- T-limit: 10 C – the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep without experiencing discomfort.
- T-extreme: -3 C – the lowest survivable temperature in this sleeping bag, though it is not advisable for regular use.
210T Rip-Stop polyester, polyamide lining
The exterior is crafted from 210T Rip-Stop polyester, offering effective protection against wear and mechanical damage. Due to its woven design, any damage does not easily expand. The interior features a finish of 190T polyamide. The lower part is designed as a footbox to align with the natural foot position, minimizing empty space and enhancing thermal insulation in that area. Inside, there's a small pocket for essentials and loops for attaching an extra thermal liner.
MICROfill Super-Therm insulation
The interior of the sleeping bag is lined with MICROfill Super-Therm synthetic insulation, renowned for its lightweight and soft qualities. Its microfiber structure guarantees excellent loft and superior insulation performance. The material retains its thermal properties even after numerous washes.
Right-side zipper, Anti-Bite system
The sleeping bag includes a two-way zipper on the right side, allowing it to be opened from both the top and bottom for simpler access. A fluorescent puller enhances use in low-light conditions. With the Anti-Bite system, the fabric is protected from catching in the zipper. Internally, the zipper is shielded by a thermal baffle. This model can be connected to another bag from the same series.
Integrated hood for cold protection, Duo drawcord
The integrated 3D hood enhances thermal insulation by snugly fitting around the head to reduce heat escape. Its ergonomic design also shields against wind and moisture. The Duo drawcord combines elastic and webbing smartly – the elastic at the neck allows for unrestricted hand movement without needing adjustments, while the webbing at the back permits quick loosening in specific areas, which is particularly beneficial in conditions of low visibility, such as at night.
