Temperatures and usage conditions
The Ardal sleeping bag's temperature ratings adhere to the EN 13537 standards:
- T-comfort: 14 C – the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably throughout the night.
- T-limit: 10 C – the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep without discomfort.
- T-extreme: -3 C – the lowest temperature in which someone can survive in the sleeping bag. This level is not advised for routine use.
210T Rip-Stop polyester, polyamide lining
The exterior is crafted from 210T Rip-Stop polyester, providing excellent resistance to wear and mechanical damage. Its woven design prevents damage from spreading easily. The interior is lined with 190T polyamide. The lower section is designed as a footbox to align with the natural foot position, minimizing empty space and enhancing thermal insulation in that area. There is a small pocket inside for essentials and loops for attaching an additional thermal liner.
MICROfill Super-Therm insulation
The interior of the sleeping bag is lined with MICROfill Super-Therm synthetic insulation, renowned for its lightweight characteristics and softness. Its microfiber composition guarantees excellent loft and superior insulation performance. Even after numerous washes, this material retains its thermal properties.
Right-side zipper, Anti-Bite system
The sleeping bag is equipped with a two-way zipper on the right side, allowing it to be opened from both the top and the bottom for easier access. A fluorescent puller enhances functionality in low-light conditions. The Anti-Bite system prevents the fabric from getting caught in the zipper. Inside, the zipper is guarded by a thermal baffle. This model can be combined with another bag from the same series.
Integrated hood for cold protection, Duo drawcord
The integrated 3D hood enhances thermal insulation by snugly fitting around the head to minimize heat escape. Its ergonomic design also offers protection from wind and moisture. The Duo drawcord consists of an effective mix of elastic and webbing – the elastic around the neck allows unrestricted hand movement without altering the setup, while the webbing at the rear allows for quick loosening at a particular point, which is particularly beneficial in conditions of low visibility, such as nighttime.
Convenient transport and storage
The model is engineered for convenient transportation and compression. When folded, it has dimensions of 27 x 14 cm and a weight of 690 g, making it an ideal option for hiking and expeditions where every gram is crucial.
