Thermos with a 750 ml capacity crafted to transport food using premium BPA-free stainless steel. This model boasts outstanding thermal insulation for both hot and cold contents, paired with superior resistance to mechanical damage. The matte, non-slip finish ensures a secure hold, even while wearing thick gloves.
The wide spout simplifies both filling and cleaning the container.
To maximize the capabilities of the food thermos, Esbit recommends "formatting" it prior to use. If you intend to carry hot items, pre-fill the thermos with hot water for about 4 minutes, then empty it and add your food. For cold items, use very cold water in a similar manner. This practice helps maintain the desired temperature for an extended period.
An innovative feature of the cap is the inclusion of a safety valve button; pressing it before unscrewing releases excess pressure, often built up from storing hot meals or liquids. This virtually prevents the cap from "popping" off or hot steam from spurting out, possibly causing the contents to splash around.
Additionally, the thermos includes an extra stainless steel bowl.
The content temperature (water, 98ºC) was observed at:
* 6 hours - 70ºC
* 12 hours - 60ºC
* 24 hours - 40ºC
Testing was performed at 20ºC (+/- 2ºC).

Tested outdoors in cool, autumn weather and during a long march – it did a great job keeping warmth inside, the food stayed hot. The safety valve is also very practical, protecting against accidental burns. I definitely recommend it!

I have some reservations – before use I heat it with boiling water, put in a warm meal, but after 4 hours it is already cold. Next time I will choose 0.5 capacity, because this model is a bit too tall. The lid and the bottom bend slightly at the edges, so a more rounded shape would be better.
