DPM Desert is a desert adaptation of the traditional British camouflage known as DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material), created in the 1980s due to Britain's growing participation in military missions in the Middle East and other dry regions of the globe. This pattern maintains the distinct layout of irregular patches found in the forest version, but its color palette has been modified for desert environments. The typical "two-tone desert" version features only two colors—light sand and brown—ensuring effective concealment against a backdrop of sand, rocks, and parched vegetation. There were also versions with three colors, tailored for various periods and settings. The DPM Desert saw extensive use by the British Armed Forces during operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and regions of North Africa.
