I was looking for a rather short knife, but when I found this model on Militaria, curiosity won and I decided to buy it. After a few days of use, I admit that it works great, it's perfect for chopping vegetables and fruits, and it also handles meat excellently—what more could you expect from a knife? If someone needs a really large kitchen knife, this is a great option.

The knife is excellent as a tool for chopping and mincing vegetables, but it can also successfully be used for beheading fish, especially carp with a very hard skeleton. Reading the previous comment, I get the impression that some people buy a knife and then don't know what to use it for... I recommend both the store and Cold Steel.

I really appreciate Cold Steel kitchen knives—I already have a whole filleting set. However, with this model I have mixed feelings :-( The 10-inch, extremely wide blade—so far I haven’t found a use for it in the kitchen. It’s huge, it reminds me of a small machete.
