Bushnell Engage DX 10x42 Binoculars

The model from the Bushnell Engage DX series features a fixed magnification of 10x and an objective lens with a diameter of 42 mm. The use of advanced technology results in an exceptionally high image resolution and contrast, as well as a wide field of view. Adjustable eyecups and diopter adjustment ensure comfort during prolonged observations and customization to individual needs. The Roof prism design provides a compact structure, making it easy to carry in a small bag.

anti-reflective coatings, adjustable eyecups

The lenses are made from exceptional glass with a low light dispersion coefficient ED (Extra-low Dispersion). They guarantee an image with above-average resolution and contrast, almost completely eliminating chromatic aberration, which in less advanced binoculars appears as purple or yellow coloring on the edges of observed objects.

The lenses are coated with FMC (Fully Multi-Coated) anti-reflective coatings that cover the air-glass boundaries multiple times, minimizing unwanted reflections and light losses in the optical system. The Roof prisms are coated with advanced DPC (Dielectric Prism Coating) to maximize brightness and image clarity, enhancing color fidelity, resolution, and contrast.

The EXO Barrier Protection technology is a modern coating that prevents the accumulation of water droplets, dust, and is scratch-resistant, making it easier to observe even during rainfall. It also helps avoid condensation from our breath.

Durable construction, rubberized coating

The model uses BaK-4 glass, which is the highest quality optical glass used in the production of binocular prisms. Prisms made from BaK-4 glass provide clarity and image sharpness, unattainable in binoculars with cheaper BK-7 optical glass.

The binoculars meet the IPX7 waterproof standard. They are resistant not only to rain but also to immersion in water up to a depth of 1 meter for a maximum of 30 minutes. The metal body is covered with a rubber coating, ensuring a secure grip in all conditions.

BaK-4 feature
BaK-4
BaK-4 are high-end prisms made of Barium Crown glass, containing barium oxide. They are used in advanced optics such as binoculars, telescopes and finders, where image quality is crucial. BaK-4 glass is characterized by a high refractive index, resulting in a sharp, bright and well-contrasted image with minimal chromatic aberration. With excellent light transmission, these prisms perform particularly well in low-light conditions.
DPC - Dielectric Prism Coating feature
DPC - Dielectric Prism Coating
DPC (Dielectric Prism Coating) is an advanced dielectric optical coating applied to roof prisms in Bushnell devices. The use of this multi-layer coating increases the reflectivity inside the prism to more than 99%, resulting in better light transmission, higher image brightness and more faithful color reproduction.
ED Prime feature
ED Prime
ED Prime Glass is a high-performance Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass used in the lenses of Bushnell optical devices. By reducing chromatic aberration, it provides exceptional sharpness, high resolution and accurate color reproduction - even at high magnification and in demanding lighting conditions. Lenses made with ED Prime Glass offer a clearer, more detailed image and are standard in premium products for demanding users such as hunters, wildlife watchers and field professionals.
EXO Barrier feature
EXO Barrier
EXO Barrier is the latest generation of protective coating developed by Bushnell, applied to the outer surfaces of lenses. It forms a microscopic, durable layer that resists water, dust, oil, fingerprints and other contaminants. Water droplets run off immediately and dirt does not adhere to the glass, ensuring maximum image clarity in all conditions. The EXO Barrier coating is permanently bonded to the surface of the optics, resistant to abrasion and effective for the life of the device.
FMC - Fully MultiCoated feature
FMC - Fully MultiCoated
FMC (Fully MultiCoated) is a technology used in optical devices to apply multi-layer anti-reflective coatings to all lens surfaces in contact with air. This solution effectively reduces reflections and light loss, improving brightness, contrast and image clarity. The increased light transmission translates into a sharper and more detailed image, which is crucial when observing in limited light conditions.
Lead-Free Glass feature
Lead-Free Glass
Lead-Free Glass is a technology used in Bushnell's optical devices, using lead-free glass for lenses and prisms. The material is environmentally friendly, as no harmful substances such as lead are used in the manufacturing process. Lead-Free glass maintains high optical quality, providing excellent clarity, sharpness and accurate color reproduction.
