I think this gas is great for learning how to use and operate these types of devices, as well as for protection against small animals such as aggressive dogs. The product is inexpensive, convenient, and has a clip, but sometimes it can slip off the belt while wearing it. It has an average range and standard SHU sharpness, but the MC concentration is only 0.9%. For self-defense against a person, I would choose a stronger gas, but for training it works perfectly. I would also add that the DE marking means it is certified for the German market.
