MultiCam is an advanced camouflage design introduced in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. Its aim was to develop a versatile camouflage pattern effective across various terrains and changing environmental conditions. The MultiCam pattern is composed of seven colors, which blend through gradient transitions among shades of green, brown, and beige. Consequently, it adjusts dynamically to its surroundings, adopting green tones in wooded areas or brown and beige in desert environments. Particularly in Central and Eastern European settings, it performs well during autumn and in dry vegetation. MultiCam has achieved global recognition and is employed by numerous military forces and special units. In 2010, the US Army officially adopted it as the camouflage pattern for troops stationed in Afghanistan, superseding the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also available to civilians, making it a favored option among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
