Another Optimal Jacket from Helikon-Tex. The Infantry is as far as I know the 2nd Level in the List of Helikon Jackets and as such Warmer than the Classic-Army (Which I also have). I chose Size M in Black, which fits me Optimally as Im 180m with Shoulder 48-50. I usually take size L, but This Jacket as usual with Helikon Wear is Military standard Lose, which is Good. Its really Warm, and the Frostier it gets outside the Warmer the Jacket of choice should be. This one I chose for under a coat, so I only need a Thermo T-shirt and this jacket underneath. Helikon Infantry Fleece - Olive Green/wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland
A soft and warm fleece jacket with a zipper, designed as an insulating layer for cold days, effectively retains heat while allowing moisture and excess heat generated during physical activity to escape. The Helikon Infantry model is made of durable fleece with a grammage of 380 g/m². The looser fit allows for comfortable wearing of additional layers, such as a light sweatshirt or thermal clothing. The slightly longer back provides better protection for the lower back from the cold, while the whole garment has been designed so as not to restrict access to pockets or equipment worn on a belt.
Breathable fleece
The fleece comprises 100% quick-drying polyester with a weight of 380 g/m². Its material ensures excellent insulation and breathability, efficiently wicking away excess moisture to prevent chill. The fabric's durability and resistance to damage make the sweatshirt ideal for outdoor endeavors in challenging terrains, whether during hikes or tactical missions.
Roomy pockets
The fleece is equipped with four zippered pockets:
- two classic hip pockets,
- one chest pocket,
- one shoulder pocket (left side)
The zippers on the hip pockets are sewn in at an angle, making it easier to store and retrieve carried items. Additionally, each zipper is finished with a fabric strap, allowing for easier grip even when wearing thick gloves.
Material reinforcements and high collar
Fleece on the elbows and shoulders, protective strips on the hip pockets, and the lower interior section have been reinforced with abrasion-resistant fabric. Velcro straps have replaced the elastic cuffs, allowing for adjustment of sleeve circumference. The high collar shields the neck from cold and wind, enhancing body temperature management. Material reinforcement at the back of the collar ensures it does not wear against the weapon sling.
Velcro Panels
Velcro strips have been sewn onto both sides of the chest and on both sleeves, allowing the attachment of various emblems, such as a national flag, unit insignia, or so-called Morale Patches, giving the fleece a personalized touch.

The fleece is made of high-quality materials, very carefully sewn, and looks great. At my height of 180 cm and weight of 83 kg, with a fairly athletic build, size M fits me perfectly.

The fleece is excellent, top-notch quality. The velcro panels are strong, and the reinforced parts on the forearms and shoulder areas are made from really solid material. One small note — the sizing is a bit generous. I'm 184 cm tall and about 95 kg, and the L size was too big. M, on the other hand, fit perfectly.

Warm fleece with a fitted cut – fits perfectly. It can be worn as an alternative to a jacket even at minus one degree Celsius. It’s thick and at the same time soft. Fully matches the description – I recommend it.

Great fleece – aesthetic and very comfortable, perfect for winter, truly worth recommending. It keeps the neck warm thanks to the collar and protects against draughts. An additional advantage is the double zipper, which you can open while sitting, and plenty of practical pockets.

Big plus for the well-described sizing chart. The product is solidly made – Velcro, zippers, and other details are neatly sewn, with no loose threads. Plus, the thick material insulates perfectly against cold and wind.

The sweatshirt is fine, but the color does not match the picture — it's just plain green. We'll see how it does in terms of durability in the field. Sizes run large, so if you wear L, I suggest picking M.

Really warm fleece, works well as an insulating layer under a Ceratex, but under regular jackets it may be too thick. Worth keeping in mind. In my opinion, the Velcro on the sleeves are unnecessary and bother me a bit, traditional cuffs would be better. I also think the back is unnecessarily longer than the front — that's just my opinion. As a standalone layer, it looks great. Highly recommended for those undecided.

Thick and warm fleece material with many practical pockets – it will work perfectly even in tough conditions. The high collar protects the neck and nape well. Very solid military-style fleece sweater. Suitable for the outdoors, expeditions, forest, fishing, and walks in the city. Carefully finished, equipped with zipped pockets, adjustable cuffs and bottom drawstring. I sincerely recommend it.

This is a great Helikon product and really worth buying. Outstanding quality and craftsmanship. The material protects well against cold, the fleece is comfortable, pleasant, and stylish. I really like it and I'm very satisfied. I regret not buying it sooner. It's a very practical part of the wardrobe, worth every penny. I highly recommend testing it out!
