Great for cutting meat. The blade has the right width and thickness for this type of work. The handle is comfortable and doesn't slip out of wet hands. The steel can be easily sharpened. I definitely recommend it.

4116 Cryo Quenched stainless steel
The blade is made of 4116 Cryo Quenched stainless steel, subjected to cryogenic treatment, which increases hardness and impact resistance. The steel provides corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening.
Trailing Point profile blade
The blade with a Trailing Point profile is 152 mm long and 3 mm thick. The blade is finished using the satin method, which leaves an even, linear trace after processing and limits reflections on the blade's surface.
Zy-Ex and Kray-Ex handle
The ergonomically shaped handle has a rigid core made of Zy-Ex material, which increases durability, and an outer layer made of Kray-Ex material approved for food contact. The softer scales with non-slip texture improve grip control.

Kray-Ex
Kray-Ex is a synthetic polymer with a rubber-like structure used by Cold Steel to manufacture knife handles. It is characterized by high adhesion and anti-slip properties, ensuring a secure grip even in high humidity, low temperatures, and with dirty hands. The material is flexible and absorbs shocks well, which increases comfort of use. Kray-Ex is also resistant to cracking, abrasion, chemicals, and adverse weather conditions, making handles made of this material durable and virtually maintenance-free. Cold Steel uses it in tactical, survival, and utility knives.
4116 Cryo Quenched
4116 Cryo Quenched is an improved version of 4116 stainless steel (DIN 1.4116), produced by ThyssenKrupp, subjected to additional cryogenic treatment, which improves its durability and mechanical properties. The carbon content (0.45-0.55%) ensures good hardness, while chromium (14-15%) provides corrosion resistance. The steel also contains molybdenum, vanadium, manganese, silicon, and nickel, which support its strength. The cryogenic process stabilizes the steel, increases wear resistance, and maintains sharpness for longer. After heat treatment, it reaches a hardness of 55-57 HRC, making it easy to maintain and resistant to corrosion. It is widely used in the production of kitchen knives and premium utility tools.
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
Zy-Ex
Zy-Ex is a composite material developed by Cold Steel, based on glass fiber reinforced polyamide. It is characterized by high mechanical strength, abrasion resistance, and low water absorption, allowing it to retain its properties even under intensive use in harsh conditions. The material is lightweight yet very rigid, allowing for the construction of a solid handle without excessively increasing the weight of the knife. The surface of Zy-Ex is designed to imitate the structure of natural wood, which gives it an attractive appearance and improves grip. Thanks to the combination of these features, Zy-Ex is used in tactical, outdoor, and EDC knives.
