They have a thin sole that simulates walking barefoot while providing protection. The lack of arch support and a wide toe box allow for natural movement and proper foot development.

What distinguishes barefoot shoes?

Are barefoot shoes healthy?

It depends – barefoot shoes can be very beneficial for foot health, but not for everyone and not in every situation. Regular wearing can strengthen foot muscles, improve balance, and support proper body posture.

However, they are not suitable for everyone. People with serious foot defects, chronic pain, bunions, or significant flat feet should first consult a physiotherapist. A too quick transition from traditional footwear to barefoot can also lead to strains and injuries, so adaptation should be done gradually.
