Origin and beginnings of the brand

Casio was founded in 1946 by Tadao Kashio on the outskirts of Tokyo in Japan. Initially, the company operated as a small enterprise producing microscope parts and unusual products like "Yubiwa" pipes. Over time, Casio focused on the development of consumer electronics, including calculators, which brought it its first market successes.

Development and innovations

In the 1950s, the company began developing electronic calculators, quickly becoming one of the leading producers in the world. In 1957, Casio introduced the first fully electronic compact calculator. In the following decades, the company dynamically expanded its range of innovative products.

In 1974, Casio presented the first electronic watch "Casiotron," equipped with an LCD display, quartz mechanism, and automatic calendar function. This model began a long series of innovative watches that eventually became one of the pillars of the company's operations.
