This is already my second jacket of this model, this time I chose the reversible version, which now hangs next to my older, one-sided one. I highly recommend it.
A double-sided hooded jacket that's lightweight and provides excellent thermal comfort in cold weather. The outer shell is constructed from sturdy, quick-dry WindPack nylon, enhanced with a DWR treatment. The interior features 67 g/m2 Climashield Apex synthetic insulation, offering reliable warmth even when wet and delivering an exceptional weight-to-heat efficiency ratio.
The jacket features a single-direction YKK zipper with a chin guard for secure closure. Elastic edging at the jacket's hem, cuffs, and hood edge effectively shields against wind intrusion. The hood includes a drawstring with stoppers and a soft brim. Flexible and breathable VersaStretch fabric inserts are added under the arms for ventilation.
Equipped with two side pockets, one chest pocket, and three internal pockets, all secured with YKK zippers. The reversible design lets you tailor your look to your environment or season. A velcro panel on the shoulder allows for attaching patches or emblems.
Easily packable, the jacket compresses into a small pouch, making it perfect for extended trips or everyday wear.

Camouflage Desert Night Camo
Desert Night Camo (DNC) is a specialized camouflage pattern developed by the US Army in the 1980s for night operations in desert areas. Designed to be layered over other uniforms, it was mainly used during Operation Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf. The pattern consists of a grid-like arrangement of dark green squares and crosses on an olive-green background. Its main purpose was to disrupt early generations of enemy night vision devices. While it proved moderately effective in practice at suppressing images in night vision devices, it was an innovative approach to night camouflage.
Camouflage US Desert (3 Color Desert)
US Desert, also known as 3 Color Desert, is a desert camouflage pattern developed as a successor to 6 Color Desert Pattern. It was created in 1990 and officially introduced in 1992 for operations in the Middle East. The pattern is based on three colors: beige, pale green, and brown, which allowed for a simplification of the micro-pattern and a reduction in contrast compared to its predecessor. This color scheme proved to be more effective in arid, sandy environments, while also better at dealing with the problem of fabric overheating. This camouflage was widely used by the US armed forces, including during the Desert Storm operation, as well as in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I bought it on sale – I like its reversibility, perfect for winter, and it's great in autumn too. In my opinion, the jacket is really lightweight, compresses well, and is comfortable to use. I recommend it, but it's best to buy it on promotion :D

The Helikon jacket is a very versatile choice – it works both as an insulating layer and for additional warmth. The VersaStretch panel under the arms and the adjustable hood with a visor add to the comfort. Additionally, the jacket can be easily folded and carried thanks to its compression feature.
-
Helikon, as usual, nothing majorly surprising. The jacket could be a bit wider at the waist – there might be an issue with fastening it if someone wears equipment on their belt. The solution with double-sided printing is a GREAT idea and it would be nice to see more such models, e.g. for summer/fall and summer/winter seasons. Generally, the Wolfhound is a lightweight jacket mainly for autumn. In winter, it's suitable for intense physical activity or as an extra, warmer layer.

This is already the second jacket of this type in my wardrobe, although in a different camouflage. I find it perfect for the city. When I bought the first one, I was a bit worried that the material seemed too thin, but it turned out to be completely unnecessary – it was worn in winter and shows absolutely no signs of wear.

A friend who is very satisfied with this jacket recommended it to me, and I can fully confirm his opinion. It is exceptionally light and easy to pack. The insulation is designed so that with moderate activity you don’t get too hot.

This is another Wolfhound jacket in my collection, it’s perfect, and its insulation works in all conditions. The color was the deciding factor, although it's a pity that so few products are available in the Snowdrift version.

The jacket is insulated and very lightweight. A big plus is the ability to wear it on both sides. It protects against the wind and works perfectly – the soldier it was bought for even wears it in winter when the frost is not too harsh.

Great jacket, very comfortable for trips because it takes up little space. During a long winter walk, the temperature was perfect—not too cold, not too hot.
