Helikon Swagman Roll Double-sided Poncho with sleeping bag function - Desert Night Camo/US Desert

An insulated rain poncho featuring a hood, which can also be utilized as a blanket, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, or emergency jacket. Its double-sided camouflage design ensures it blends more seamlessly with its surroundings.

Stuffed with Climashield Apex 67 g/m2 insulation, this poncho is lightweight yet offers superior thermal comfort. The exterior DWR coating safeguards against dirt and light rain.

The Swagman Roll is outfitted with YKK zippers for easy conversion into a sleeping bag. Wojin Plastic buckles offer further adjustment and wearer customization. Located at the front of the poncho is a flat zippered pocket. An integrated carry pocket enables swift and convenient folding of the poncho.

The Swagman model is designed to be compatible with Helikon's classic poncho.

Desert Night Camo (DNC) is a specialized camouflage pattern developed by the US Army in the 1980s for night operations in desert areas. Designed to be layered over other uniforms, it was mainly used during Operation Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf. The pattern consists of a grid-like arrangement of dark green squares and crosses on an olive-green background. Its main purpose was to disrupt early generations of enemy night vision devices. While it proved moderately effective in practice at suppressing images in night vision devices, it was an innovative approach to night camouflage.

US Desert, also known as 3 Color Desert, is a desert camouflage pattern developed as a successor to 6 Color Desert Pattern. It was created in 1990 and officially introduced in 1992 for operations in the Middle East. The pattern is based on three colors: beige, pale green, and brown, which allowed for a simplification of the micro-pattern and a reduction in contrast compared to its predecessor. This color scheme proved to be more effective in arid, sandy environments, while also better at dealing with the problem of fabric overheating. This camouflage was widely used by the US armed forces, including during the Desert Storm operation, as well as in Iraq and Afghanistan.
