Helikon SFU pants are a solid choice – they are durable and quite breathable. The material effectively protects against tears. The cut is pretty loose, so pay attention to the size because they can be bigger than expected.

I give 5 stars, but I have to mention that the pants are quite thick and heavy. For me, they didn't work best in warmer months because my legs sweat quickly. I also managed to get the right size only on the second try.

It’s a shame this model is no longer produced and only what’s left in the store is available. I had to buy the Long version because they were the last ones. The pants are very sturdy and durable, I’ve had them for almost three years. I use them every day at work in security and consider them some of the best I’ve had.

Very good and comfortable pants. A bit wide, so I decided to taper them from the thigh down, but that's just a matter of taste. I’ve been using them for over half a year and haven’t noticed any wear and tear on the material or seams.

The Helikon brand is top-notch—I’ve worn a different model for 3 years and there’s no sign of wear. In this particular model, a major plus is the huge number of roomy pockets and straps—you can easily fit a canteen in the large pockets.

When it comes to the number of pockets, the pants would be fine if not for the fact that apart from the cargo ones, the rest of the pockets are very tight. I usually put my hands in my pockets when I'm cold, but here I have to struggle a lot to fit my hand (and my hands are not wide). That’s the biggest downside for me. On the plus side, the material is solid – I have fallen down a few times, and there’s not even a scratch on the legs. Extra layers in the crotch and on the knees insulate well – even sitting on a rock on a cold day, you don’t feel the chill. The knees are reinforced, so you can crawl a few meters on your knees without discomfort. The pants allow for knee pads, which I really appreciate. Unfortunately, if you have very long legs, the knee pads shift when squatting and do not ideally protect the knees, though when standing the leg length is appropriate. Another plus is the waist adjustment – I don’t need a belt, and the plastic D-rings keep the loops in good shape for a long time. To sum up, for a field trip I’d rather choose another model, but for shorter forest outings, these pants work well. Regards!
