The only downside is the fabric sides of the pouch, which have something like protrusions at the top. These can catch on the magazine when inserting it. However, once the magazine is in place, it holds securely, though placing it is not as convenient as it could be.

The magazine pouch works well, easily fits AR and AK magazines (although the AK ones stick out quite a bit, which can be inconvenient). I think even larger magazines, like those for the M14 or Dragunov, would also fit and hold securely. The magazines are fairly well secured, but for extra assurance, it’s worth using a blocking rubber band. A downside is the difficulty in connecting two pouches together. Another inconvenience is the length of the rubber bands, which, when pulled tight, stick out and there’s nowhere to tuck them away.

Great magazine pouch, allows for very quick magazine removal and there’s no worry that it will fall out by itself.

Great magazine pouch, easily fits magazines for both AK and AR, as well as other items of similar size, such as a radio. I definitely recommend this product.
