Very comfortable and provides a lot of warmth.
Fjord Nansen Trondeland Sleeping Bag XL Olive Drab 2200 g - left
Rugged sleeping bag variant in Olive Drab, featuring an anatomical mummy design that accommodates a natural body posture and enables movement while resting. Constructed from durable Rip-Stop polyester, it combines a tough outer layer with MICROfill Super-Therm insulation.
Temperatures and usage conditions
Trondeland sleeping bag temperature assessments align with the EN 13537 standard:
- T-max: 14 C – maximum temperature at which one can use the sleeping bag without overheating risk,
- T-comfort: -3 C – minimum temperature where a woman can sleep comfortably throughout the night,
- T-limit: -9 C – lowest temperature where a man can sleep without experiencing discomfort,
- T-extreme: -29 C – coldest temperature survivable in the sleeping bag, not advised for frequent use.
210T Rip-Stop polyester, polyamide lining
The exterior is crafted from 210T Rip-Stop polyester, effectively resisting wear and tear. Inside, it features 190T polyamide. The basin-shaped footbox accommodates the feet's natural position, enhancing insulation in that area. An interior pocket provides storage for small items, and loops are included to attach an additional thermal liner.
MICROfill Super-Therm insulation
The sleeping bag features MICROfill Super-Therm synthetic insulation, celebrated for its lightweight nature and softness. Its microfiber composition ensures high loft and effective thermal insulation. Even after numerous washes, the material maintains its performance.
Left-side zipper, Anti-Bite system
The model is equipped with a two-way zipper positioned on the left side, enabling it to be fully opened from both ends. A fluorescent puller enhances ease of use for the zipper during nighttime. The Anti-Bite system stops the fabric from snagging in the zipper. Inside, a thermal baffle provides extra defense against heat loss.
Integrated hood, DUO drawcord, thermal collar
The three-dimensional hood provides excellent head protection by minimizing heat loss. Its design also acts as a shield against wind and moisture. Featuring the DUO drawcord, which combines elasticity and webbing, the hood allows movement without adjustments due to the elastic, while the rear webbing offers quick width adjustment, especially beneficial at night. The thermal collar, a down-filled tube equipped with a drawcord at shoulder height, effectively blocks cold air from entering the bag.
Convenient transport and storage
Functional design allows for effortless carrying and storage. When folded, the sleeping bag measures 38 x 24 cm and has a weight of 2200 g, making it perfect for extended hikes and excursions.
Included accessories
The set comes with a compression sack featuring a snap buckle, which ensures the sleeping bag is well-protected during transport and safeguarded from dirt and mechanical harm.

I tested it at -22°C, I was warm, but I had an extra liner and was dressed. The color is very visible, so if that bothers someone, it's better to wrap the cover with camouflage tape or dark fabric. The product is worth its price and can be impregnated.

The sleeping bag is fantastic. I haven’t used it in severe frost yet, but at around 0 degrees it was actually too warm.
-
I finally checked how it feels to sleep in a hammock at -3°C without a jacket and with three pairs of socks – I didn’t get cold!

Tested in a tent – very warm. So far, autumn hasn’t let me test it in sub-zero temperatures, but at +5°C it got a bit too hot and I had to unzip the sleeping bag. As a winter sleeping bag, I definitely recommend it.
