When joining the Boy Scouts, whether a cub, scout or volunteer, they will need to purchase scout backpacks. What fires the imagination of youngsters the most, in belonging to the Scout Association, are, of course, camps. This is a great opportunity for youngsters to learn many useful skills, such as at least making a campfire or preparing a simple meal in the field. However, before that moment comes, we need to stock up on the most basic item, i.e. a scout camp backpack with which the youngster will go on his first outdoor camping trip.
Unfortunately, standard city backpacks or school bags are not up to such a trip. We need to fit both clothing, hygiene products, lightweight hiking equipment such as a flashlight, and, of course, a sleeping bag carrimat. While packing a sleeping bag and clothes into an ordinary backpack will not be a problem, we may encounter difficulties when trying to pack a karimata. Here we are rescued by the purchase of a scout backpack, it will allow us to mount a carrimat without problems. Most often such backpacks have trousers on the bottom of the backpack or on the sides, with which we can mount the wrapped carrimata without too much trouble.
The liters of the backpack, too, of course, must be adjusted to both the age of the user and how long the trip is for. A scout backpack most often has a capacity between 30 and 65 liters, but the choice of liters will depend on both the user's preferences, his needs and the length of the trip. When choosing a model, it is worth paying attention to the materials from which the backpack is made and the carrying system. Comfortable, well-tailored suspenders and hip belt are one of the key elements of aptly chosen scout backpacks. It is worth taking care of such aspects to avoid unnecessary strain on the spine while on the road with the backpack, especially with regard to young people, whose stature is still developing.
A backpack for a scout camp is one of the basic pieces of equipment for a scout, and a well-chosen one can last for many years. Such solutions will work equally well for people who need a backpack for long trips, where it is the only means of transporting our belongings.
