The glasses are fantastic, they work perfectly for fishing by the water. The quality and comfort of use are top notch, I have no complaints. I gave 4 stars because I received an incomplete set – the microfiber cloth was missing. At this price, this shouldn't happen, but this is probably the store's fault. I rate the glasses themselves 5 stars and definitely recommend them.
Wiley X Grid Tactical Glasses - Captivate Polarized Green Mirror/Matte Cool Grey
Well-fitted and comfortable protective eyewear from the Climate Control series. The lenses possess mechanical strength to shield the eyes from fragments, ricochets, and other objects in motion, complying with class F standards (providing protection against items weighing 0.86 g traveling at 45 m/s). These glasses adhere to the ANSI HVP and EN166F standards.
Wiley X stands as a leading provider of eye protection for the U.S. military, athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts.
Frames with HVP technology, Facial Cavity Seal insert
The frames are crafted from durable Triloid nylon utilizing HVP (High Velocity Protection) technology. Their design ensures a secure fit without compromising comfort when wearing headphones or ear protection. Rubber, non-slip temples, and nose pads ensure the glasses stay firmly positioned on the face. The detachable Facial Cavity Seal insert ensures a snug fit, providing protection against wind, dust, and other elements.
Polycarbonate Selenite lenses, T-Shell coating
Polarized lenses crafted from shatter-proof polycarbonate Selenite deliver 12% light transmission. Captivate technology boosts visual performance by enhancing image clarity, contrast, and color saturation. These lenses safeguard against UVA and UVB radiation, while the T-Shell coating enhances scratch resistance, prolonging their durability. Furthermore, the oleophobic coating minimizes the adhesion of dust, dirt, oil, snow, and water, making maintenance easier.
Standards and certifications
- EN.166F - meets the European standard for protection against impacts from high-speed particles (Medium Energy Impact). As per this standard, both the frame and visors can endure the impact of a 6 mm diameter steel ball weighing 0.86 g, traveling at 162 km/h.
- ANSI Z87.1 - defines the impact resilience of the visor and frame. Tests ensure endurance against a high-mass steel object (High Mass) and a fast-moving steel ball (High Velocity), verifying resistance to standard mechanical threats.
- UV protection - the visor offers comprehensive protection against UVA/UVB rays, blocking a minimum of 99.9%.
