The versatile base is crafted from robust injection-molded ABS plastic. Its specially engineered star-shaped slots maintain the embedded abrasive rods at a steady 40° angle (20 degrees per side). They also permit rods to be rotated to expose fresh abrasive surfaces. A built-in guard ensures hand protection during sharpening.
