Previously I used to buy sharpening stones at hardware stores, but this one turned out to be much better. You need to get a bit of practice and learn how to use it. Over time, I also bought stones with finer and coarser grit. For my beginnings, the kitchen knives are now sharp enough.
A whetstone rated at 1000 grit with a particle size of 11.5, featuring an 18 cm by 6 cm alumina abrasive surface designed for durability and minimal wear.
The stone's increased hardness, meeting the Japanese JIS R6001 standards, allows for quicker sharpening. Suitable for kitchen knives, pocket knives, hunting knives, shears, gardening tools, axes, machetes, razors, chisels, and other steel implements.
Usage Instructions: Submerge in water or spray it, or apply sharpening oil. Position the whetstone on a flat surface. Sharpen by moving one side of the knife back and forth with slight pressure, then switch sides. Optimal results are achieved by maintaining a proper knife angle (15 degrees - 30 degrees).
Included is a mat to prevent slipping during use.

The attractive price convinced me to buy it. Sharpening is quite comfortable. The base is stable and does not slip. The stone turned out to be softer than I expected. Overall, I recommend this product.

The sharpener is very convenient and feels solid. Sharpening knives on the stone has become a relaxing activity for me. I'm just learning with a kitchen knife, but it's already so sharp that it cuts everything without any problem. I definitely recommend it.
