Professional hearing protectors Peltor SportTac featuring active noise reduction, tailored for shooting enthusiasts. Integrated directional microphones capture ambient sounds to ensure clear hearing without compromising situational awareness. When unexpected loud noises like gunfire occur, advanced technology reduces the noise to a safe level. This function facilitates uninterrupted communication even amid heavy shooting.
This model includes two high-frequency microphones that improve the clarity of ambient noises. Harmful sounds are minimized to a safe level of 85 dB, while softer sounds are boosted.
Volume control
The protectors offer volume control for audible sounds and conversations as required. By employing an advanced electronic system, it prevents crackling noises. The model features a smoothly functioning reproduction system that avoids abrupt changes in hearing levels. Activation and volume adjustments are managed with 3 buttons.
Contoured headband and earmuffs
Wide cushions very well isolate from noise. The lower part of the ear cups is contoured under the cheek pad, ensuring the protectors do not interfere with shooting. The soft plastic headband evenly distributes pressure on the head. This allows for wearing them for extended periods without feeling discomfort. The adjustable design makes it easy to adapt the protectors to the shooter's head shape.
Long operating time
The Peltor SportTac utilizes two AAA batteries, providing roughly 600 hours of use. To change them, simply remove the panel on the side of an ear cup. Featuring a low battery alert, the device also includes an automatic shut-off function after 2 hours of inactivity.
Audio input
The J22 audio input (3.5 mm mini jack) enables connection to devices like a radio or smartphone, enhancing the protectors' versatility.

Very good headphones, they do their job – they effectively mute the sound of gunshots at the shooting range, and at the same time clearly amplify voices, making it easy to talk (even whispers from people several stations away are well audible). They are comfortable to wear, not heavy, and do not interfere when aiming. An additional advantage is the replaceable pads. The only thing missing is the ability to fold them.
