Camouflage CCE

Camouflage Central-Europe, or CCE, is a camouflage pattern adopted by the French military. Introduced for the French army in 1991, this pattern is inspired by American Woodland camouflage but is tailored with shades that align with colors naturally found in Central Europe, including forest greens, earth browns, and beiges. Characterized by irregular patches in various shades, the pattern offers effective camouflage in both wooded areas and open terrains.

Yesterday I received a package containing pants and a softshell jacket in the same camouflage pattern. I have the same issue as with the pants – the unusual cut looks very unflattering on slim people. The jacket isn't as well-fitted, for example, as the Highlander Outdoor Odin Softshell that I have. The sleeves are too wide and the whole thing sticks out at the shoulder blades. Maybe it would work better if I wore a thick fleece sweatshirt underneath...

Excellent jacket, the Phantomleaf WASP I Z1B camouflage pattern looks really impressive. The jacket is perfect for autumn. It protects well against rain, although you can additionally waterproof it for even better protection.

The XL size jacket fits well for a height of 178 cm, leaving a bit of room, which was my intention so that it wouldn’t be too tight. When trying it on, I noticed the Velcro on the sleeves is placed too close together, making it impossible to tighten them more, so the sleeves are a bit loose, but my hands still fit in the pockets :) The only downside I noticed is the lack of a loop for hanging the jacket, so you have to place it on a hanger.

For a Mil Tec brand product, the jacket is quite good. For me, it's very warm – I wear it all winter over just a t-shirt, without a sweatshirt. Its water resistance is average – it tends to repel water, but gets soaked in heavy rain. The zippers work fine, though they sometimes get stuck. The biggest downside is the Velcro on the sleeves – they wore out quickly and after just a week they didn't hold well, so you can't fasten the sleeves tightly. It doesn't bother me, but it might for some. The jacket isn't very breathable, but it has zippers under the armpits for ventilation.

I have been using it for two days and I wear it almost everywhere. I wear it under a tactical sweatshirt with a stand-up collar, and even with temperatures close to zero, I feel comfortable – especially during movement. The cut, numerous pockets, and very good material make me feel great in it. The soft fleece lining inside makes the jacket pleasant to the touch. I recommend it.

The jacket is excellent: + very lightweight, provides a lot of warmth, the color is even better than in the photos, so far it protects well against rain - tested in light rain, the hood can be hidden - no loop to hang it on a hook - velcro straps - if you don't plan to attach a name tag or flag, it would be nice to have patches in the jacket's color to cover the panels, unfortunately, there are none.

I chose a larger size and now it's perfect – XXL is quite slim at the waist, but fits very well. I wore it on a camping trip; it may not be very warm, but it's solid. The camouflage is lighter than on the pants. When you get the right size, the jacket fits like a fleece and gives a very masculine look.

The bottom of the jacket has a somewhat strange fit, so you might consider buying a larger size. Other than that, it's really a great jacket – waterproof, warm, and with a cool feature for hiding the hood. It also has large pockets and underarm vents.

The jacket is great for autumn days. The fleece lining provides very good insulation. When it's 5 degrees outside, just wearing a T-shirt under the jacket is enough to feel warm. The stand-up collar might seem a bit stiff because of the hidden hood, but you can get used to it. The pockets are easily accessible. I recommend it.

The jacket is very well made, with high-quality finishing and sturdy material. For my height of 175 cm, waist 102 cm, and chest 108 cm, the XL size fits perfectly. You can easily wear a sweatshirt or vest underneath.

After buying the jacket in Z1B camouflage, size M, I decided on another model – this time Z3A, size L, because the size M was pretty tight, and I wanted to be able to wear something thicker underneath. The measured armpit width is 59 cm x2 for M and 62 cm x2 for L; the size chart overestimates the dimensions. The jackets are solidly made, have plenty of pockets, and the camouflage looks great.

I am grateful for this high-quality product. The shipment arrived quickly, the size matches the chart, and the jacket effectively protects against wind and rain without restricting movement! When you put on thermal underwear, it works even during freezing temperatures!

The jacket is very comfortable, suitable for both autumn and winter, and it has great, spacious pockets (not small sizes). I removed the hood because it was unnecessary and just took up space in the collar. I definitely recommend it.
