The jacket is light and thin, which is its advantage. Unfortunately, its water resistance leaves much to be desired. After about half an hour in light rain, it was already soaked, even though I spent part of that time on the bus, so it should have partially dried. I think that without additional impregnation, it is not suitable for rainy days.

SoftShell jacket made of 98% nylon and 2% elastane. It provides excellent body protection against moisture and wind.
The jacket partially has a thin mesh lining on the inside. The US SoftShell Level 5 model closes with a zipper protected by a rain flap fastened with Velcro and snap fasteners.
The jacket features a high collar for wind protection and a deep hood with drawstrings. Increased breathability and thermal exchange with the environment are facilitated by two-way zippered underarm vents.
The jacket is equipped with four pockets:
- two shoulder pockets closed with Velcro,
- two chest pockets closed with zippers.
Velcro panels have been placed on the sleeves, chest and hood, allowing you to attach any patches or emblems, such as the national flag, unit emblem or so-called Morale Patches, so you can give your jacket an individual character.
Additional protection against the cold is provided by Velcro adjustable cuffs.

I was pleasantly surprised because I usually need larger sizes, but the jacket in size 2XL turned out to be roomy enough. I usually wear 3XL-5XL. The jacket is very light, easy to fold into a small bundle, although it did get quite wrinkled, but I didn’t care about the looks. The workmanship is solid, although there are some threads sticking out here and there. Very good jacket at a great price. I can’t comment on its water resistance yet, as it has just arrived, but I plan to additionally protect it with an H2O spray. It’s thin, has ventilation holes, so it will work great for three seasons – just choose the right size. I’m deducting one star for the lack of a hanging loop – such a small thing. For now, I definitely recommend it.
