The foam jacket is great for cooler days and that's why I bought it. It is meant to protect against cold and rain. The size given in the chart matches reality. I recommend it.
MFH Scorpion Softshell Jacket - M05
Softshell jacket crafted to shield you from wind and moisture while ensuring superior breathability. Constructed with stretchy softshell material and featuring a deep hood, it offers effective protection against rain and cold. Model in M05 camouflage.
Waterproof material, Teflon coating, high breathability
The fabric is a blend of polyester and elastane, providing effective moisture protection with a water resistance of 8000 mm/m2. The outer surface is treated with a Teflon coating, which repels water and guards against dirt. With breathability rated at 5,000 g/m2, the fabric helps minimize excessive sweating. Additionally, underarm vents are incorporated to enhance airflow during vigorous activities.
6 practical pockets
The jacket features six pockets:
- two spacious pockets on the abdomen, equipped with internal compartments and an outlet for headphones,
- a single pocket on the back near the lower back with dual-side access,
- two sleeve pockets positioned at shoulder level,
- a pocket on the left wrist area.
The front pockets are positioned higher than those on typical jackets, making them accessible even with a fastened backpack hip belt. All pockets have zipper closures, significantly reducing the risk of losing their contents.
YKK zipper, retractable hood, velcro panels
The main zipper, which is double-sided and crafted by the renowned Japanese company YKK, enables you to unzip from both the top and bottom, allowing easy access to gear carried on your belt. The hood, featuring a visor for water protection, can be folded and tucked away in the collar when not in use. Adjustable cuffs with Velcro and drawstrings at the jacket's hem and collar offer additional defense against cold and wind. Shoulders have Velcro panels for attaching patches, unit badges, flags, or Morale Patches.

M05 camouflage
The M05 camouflage (Finnish M05 Maastokuvio) is a family of pixelated camouflage patterns introduced into the Finnish Defence Forces in 2005 as a successor to the M91 pattern. It was developed based on digital analysis of photographs of Finnish forests taken in different seasons by the Finnish Forest Research Institute. The M05 family includes several variants, such as woodland, snow, and cold weather.
The main woodland version of M05 consists of patches in light green, dark green, brown, and dark graphite, effectively replicating the structure of Finnish forests. Due to similar vegetation and terrain conditions, the M05 Woodland camouflage also performs well in the forests of Central and Eastern Europe, providing effective concealment in natural surroundings.

Great jacket – comfortable and practical. Effectively protects against rain and wind. I used it throughout the fall and spring. I am satisfied with the purchase and can recommend it.
-
The softshell is very well made, there are no flaws, and the zippers work smoothly and reliably. An additional plus is the double main zipper and teflon coating. I have already tested it during rain and the first snow in the Tatras – it keeps warmth well and effectively protects against wind. Size L, ordered without checking the chart, turned out to be perfect.

Everything matches the description. So far, I have no comments, although the jacket has not yet been tested in the rain. The size is also consistent with the chart. The only slight flaw is the rather delicate looking hanger, but I don't expect it to break. Just to be sure, I suggest not hanging the jacket with heavy pockets.

I bought the jacket at the end of August 2021. It is well-made, warm, and does great during rainfall. Its breathability during exertion (for example, when I ride a bike) could be better, but thanks to the ventilation openings under the armpits and at the bottom of the back, the functionality improves, although in my opinion it could be even higher. Unfortunately, the Velcro on the cuffs is weak and eventually completely loses its function over time.
-
The jacket is generally fine, although the workmanship could be better. The Velcro on the cuffs doesn't hold well, and there are threads sticking out in several places, but overall the jacket doesn't fall apart. It's nice, but the quality could be a bit higher.

I am very satisfied. After purchase, I found out that the outer layer has a Teflon coating. The jacket is actually waterproof and protects well against wind. At first, I chose the wrong size, but I’ve already exchanged it for the right one. I recommend choosing a larger size so you can wear a sweatshirt underneath—an extra layer of air improves insulation. The only downside is the elastic drawstrings at the sleeves, which are a bit annoying because of the Velcro. Rating 5/5.

The jacket turned out to be a much better purchase than I expected. It works perfectly during autumn and mild winter, and its waterproofness kept me almost dry even during heavy rain. I definitely recommend it.

This is the best softshell jacket I have had. The workmanship is of a very high level.
-
Very comfortable jacket, I recommend it to everyone.

After switching to size L (178 cm, 80 kg, no belly) the sleeves became a bit too long and even the Velcro adjustment doesn't help. Additionally, they're a bit too wide. The jacket's length is fine. After taking the hood out of the collar, it sticks out at the sides and doesn't fit close to the back, and the collar is too loose when unzipped and gets in the way. The fabric is very good quality, slightly stiff, which I like. The pockets have practical placement and internal compartments. The package from Militaria didn't crush the fabric during shipping as it often happens with softshells.
-
Size M for 178 cm height and 80 kg turned out to be a bit too tight, although the sleeves were just right. I exchanged it for L. The material is pleasant to the touch, but the main zipper worked rather stiffly.
-
With the additional lining, you can use it even at temperatures close to zero. Water condenses into droplets on the surface of the material. The jacket provides good protection against wind. I chose a size that fits well in the shoulders and chest, but it could be a bit longer – it only covers up to the waist.
-
Excellent quality, a premium class product. It's not the cheapest, but it's worth paying for such quality. I don't regret the purchase.

The jacket matches the description. It is light and comfortable. The front pockets are positioned a bit too high, which is bothersome if, like me, you often keep your hands in your pockets.
