An authentic Morale Patch crafted from Cordura 500D shows a lady of spades alongside two cat images. Designed with one-sided velcro, it is easily attached to a velcro panel on uniforms, caps, waist bags, or backpacks.

Morale Patches are worn by soldiers and service members alongside their unit-specific patches to "boost morale." They serve as an identifying and unifying symbol for the group and are an aspect of military humor.

    I already have a sizable collection of patches from M-Tac, and this is my latest addition. It complemented my Quinn of Spades series in different colors. This time, the patch has an MM14 camo background, used by the army of our eastern neighbor. Just like the others in this series, it is very well made, the Velcro holds firmly, and it fits nicely even on rounded surfaces like the arm.

    Maybe it's not the most military design of a patch, but the multicam background definitely does its job. So far, I've managed to collect all the cat-themed patches available on Militaria.pl. Their size is perfect for wearing on a sleeve, e.g. a thermal shirt, and the flexible material and light weight mean they don't wrinkle delicate fabrics, which makes them ideal for such clothing.
