Constructed from abrasion-resistant 500D Cordura, this patch displays the AB (IV) Rh+ blood type. In Eastern European nations, Jansky's markings (Roman numerals) denote blood types. The patch is crafted using Laser Cut technology, which prevents the edges from fraying. A velcro (Velcro) panel allows for attachment to clothing or other gear.
The blood type symbol is designed to quickly convey essential information for medical personnel.
MM-14 stands for маскувальний малюнок (maskuvalʹnyy malyunok = camouflage pattern) along with the year 2014, the official adoption year of the camouflage design. Although inspired by American UCP camouflage, its shades were selected to align with the natural colors found in Ukraine. Integrating the MM-14 camouflage pattern represented a key step in the Ukrainian military's post-Soviet identification reform. Informally, MM14 is also known as Ukrainian Pixel Camo and Ukrainian Digital Camo.
