A handy thermal imaging monocular from Hikmicro for easy observation both during the day and at night. The Falcon FH35 model features a fixed optical magnification of 3,03x. For greater accuracy, the FH35 also allows digital zoom in the range of 2-8x, making it possible to observe objects up to 1800 meters away. The thermal imager is equipped with a stadiameter rangefinder, which is based on the approximate height of the object being observed and allows for quick distance measurement.
The Falcon FH35 thermal imager is equipped with a sensor with a resolution of 384 × 288 pixels, with a pixel spacing of 12 µm. The sensitivity of the sensor allows it to capture temperature differences of less than 20 mK. The 0,39" display used was made using OLED technology and features a resolution of 1024 × 768 pixels. The thermal imaging device uses digital detail enhancement (DDE), digital noise reduction (3D DNR), and automatic gain control (AGC).
The thermal imaging monocular has four image display modes:
- White hot - warm in bright color, the higher the temperature, the brighter the tone,
- Black hot - warm in dark color, the higher the temperature, the darker the tonality,
- Red hot - image as in "black hot" with red highlighting of the warmest elements,
- Fusion - from high temperature to low temperature, the image is colored from white, yellow, red, pink to purple.
The model also uses a function to save photos or videos to the built-in 32GB internal memory. Files can also be transferred directly to a phone using Wi-Fi, on which the Hikmicro Sight app (available for Android and iOS) has been installed. The integrated Wi-Fi module makes it possible to use, for example, a phone with the Hikmicro Sight app as an external display.
Thanks to its compact design and the use of seals, the thermal imager's housing meets the IP67 waterproof rating, which provides protection against dust and water at depths of up to 1m for 30 minutes.
The thermal imager by a single is powered 18650 3200 mAh cell and can operate continuously for up to 7 hours. The built-in USB Type-C port also allows you to use the device with a plugged-in power bank to extend the operating time.
