Opinion after several months of use: the jacket provides adequate thermal comfort during spring and autumn, but in winter it's worth wearing an additional layer underneath, as it may not be sufficient on its own. I'm 198 cm tall and weigh 96 kg – size 3XL turned out to be perfect. The jacket is not waterproof, but its material dries quickly after getting wet. It's a pity that the main zipper is not protected with a fabric flap shielding against wind, water, or sand, although the other zippers have such protection.
Helikon SAS Smock Duracanvas Jacket - Taiga Green
The smock jacket in Taiga Green color is made from Duracanvas material. This fabric is amenable to waterproofing by waxing, which enhances rain and moisture protection while increasing abrasion resistance. The design is inspired by jackets used by the British Army's SAS units. The loose fit allows for wearing multiple layers of clothing.
8 spacious pockets
The smock features 8 roomy pockets, including 2 slanted cargo pockets on the chest secured with Canadian buttons, and 2 hip pockets with a nylon mesh. Each chest pocket has a special loop for attaching smaller gear, preventing loss. Additional paracord loops are located on both edges of the jacket.
two-way zipper and adjustable hood
The jacket fastens with a two-way zipper. The lightweight hood can be adjusted in 2 planes for a comfortable fit, regardless of weather conditions or hat type.
elastic drawstrings and vents
Two drawstrings located at the waist and lower edge of the jacket help adjust the fit and protect against wind. Vents under the armpits ensure good air circulation.

I'm leaving this review after a year of use. The material is pleasant to the touch, the pockets are a great size and there are plenty of them, and the Velcro and zippers still work flawlessly. I also like that the main zipper zips up very high, so wind doesn't blow on your neck. If I had to point out any cons, the hood seems too big if it isn’t properly adjusted and you suddenly put it on. Additionally, where there are elastics and drawstrings at the waist and bottom of the jacket, the material gathers and loses color, starting to fade in those areas. The jacket is fine for spring and fall without heating, but in winter you’ll need to wear a fleece underneath, otherwise it’s too cold.

Very good jacket when paired with a thin fleece. On warmer days, the jacket alone is enough. It handles light rain well (water runs off the surface). The sizing is unusual, at 170 cm and 108 kg I had to exchange for a 2XL, although I usually wear XL (interestingly, XL Pilgrim anorak fits me perfectly).

Jacket bought a few months ago and made very solidly. Combined with a fleece, it works well in mild frosts as well as during transitional periods. It protects well from the wind. If it had a detachable lining, it would be perfect. The pockets are very roomy. I recommend it to people who like this style.

After a long search, I found a model that not only stands out with its deep black color but is also very functional: large and roomy pockets, possibility to adjust the hood and width, low weight, and great freedom of movement when worn. The jacket handles light rain well, doesn’t soak immediately, and the extra ventilation holes under the arms are helpful during warmer showers. I consider the purchase very successful.

After reading so many reviews and watching videos on YouTube, it's hard to add anything... I am very satisfied with my purchase. The jacket meets my expectations both in terms of functionality and appearance. Highly recommended!

After two tries with the Pilgrim model, I finally found a Helikon jacket from the Bushcraft series in size 3XL, suitable for a person with a large build. The jacket is very well sewn and well thought out. The style and color (earth brown) work both in the forest and in the city. I recommend it not only to people with a fuller figure.

Amazing jacket! Great appearance, cut, and practical pockets. The Canadian buttons are very solid, and the numerous pockets and loops make organizing gear easy. The DWR coating effectively protects against water. One of the best jackets I've used on forest trips.

I bought the jacket after previously purchasing pants made of the same material. The jacket is very nice, but the lower vertical zippered pockets are not comfortable for me; this problem disappears when I use the buttoned pockets. I also regret that there are no bigger sizes, as I would gladly buy a larger one. Despite this, I really like the jacket overall and recommend it.

The jacket was tested right after purchase and works perfectly for the transitional season. Very practical thanks to the large number of roomy pockets and a spacious hood that easily fits a hat underneath. I recommend this model.

Jacket made of thin material, without insulation, it works great as an outer layer. After applying waterproofing, it handles light rain well. I use it all year round and so far there are no signs of wear. I recommend it.

I'm a fan of Helikon clothing, but this jacket let me down a bit. While the workmanship is solid, the color is nice, and the pockets are very spacious. Unfortunately, the pocket fasteners seem too large, the buttons are sewn a bit too loosely (they are durable but stick out), and the hood is, in my opinion, too loose and gets in the way more often than it helps, especially since the jacket does not provide much protection against wind and rain without additional impregnation. It's not bad, but I expected more for this price.

Nice jacket. I bought it with matching pants I got earlier and they look good together. The jacket has plenty of practical pockets that will definitely come in handy. I wish it was a bit bigger but I already have the largest size. I still need to impregnate it. As described. The instructional video was helpful. Recommended.

I recommend this jacket – although not necessarily for winter, it will be ideal for other seasons. It is very comfortable, has plenty of pockets, drawstrings, and vents. Lots of color options. Maybe I'll even give up the bag and just carry everything in the jacket's pockets. I'm bored of M65 jackets already, and this Smock is a bullseye. It would be great if a smock jacket with winter insulation appeared in the next season.

In black, this is an ideal low profile city jacket. It doesn't stand out as much as in green or brown. The large number of pockets allows you to conveniently carry EDC in an urban environment.
