Helikon Meriono Socks - Olive Green/Coyote

Midweight trekking socks from Helikon-Tex, crafted with 79% Merino wool. They preserve warmth even when damp, while flat seams provide added comfort and minimize the possibility of chafing during hikes.

Merino Wool

The socks are made of 79% natural Merino wool, 18% nylon, and 3% elastane. Merino wool has natural antibacterial properties, so the socks resist unpleasant odors even after extended use. The fabric is gentle on the skin and maintains thermal insulation even when damp. Nylon adds durability and abrasion resistance, while elastane ensures flexibility and a snug fit.

Flat seams

The socks feature a minimal number of seams to reduce the risk of chafing. Flat joins are barely noticeable against the skin and prevent irritation even during long hikes. Ventilation panels on the top help with moisture wicking. The elastic cuff ensures a snug fit around the ankle.

Main features

  • made of 79% Merino wool
  • flat seams that do not cause irritation
  • medium thickness suitable for transitional and low temperatures
  • elastic cuff at the ankle
  • natural material does not absorb odors

I do not recommend these socks. After the first use, they became very pilled, and after the next, a hole appeared in one which I had to sew up. The socks are indeed warm, but in terms of durability, they perform poorly.

Great socks – for military and trekking boots, I only recommend merino! After washing, there is slight pilling, but it doesn't bother in socks. Very comfortable, your feet don't emit unpleasant odors, and they provide comfort both in hot and cold weather. I have several pairs and they work well all year round.

Good socks from a Polish company. I have different models made from merino wool and these perform very well, they are of medium thickness and dry quickly. Thanks to the addition of nylon and elastane, they are less prone to pilling and more durable. They work well both for everyday use and for trips to the mountains or the forest. I recommend them.

Very comfortable socks. Plus for the addition of elastane and nylon, which makes them dry faster. After sleeping in a sleeping bag, I had dry socks ready to wear in the morning.

First of all, quick shipping from Militaria—a huge plus. The socks are very nice and made from solid material. They fit a slim foot. I highly recommend them.

The socks performed well during hours-long heavy rain on a two-day hike in the forest at temperatures of 15–18 degrees Celsius, combined with LOWA Combat Boot MK2 GTX Boots. In my opinion, they deserve 10/10. They are worth recommending – my feet were neither tired nor sweaty, and the comfort of use was high. I am curious how they will hold up after a longer period and after more washes.

After testing two pairs in different conditions, I bought four more. It's just a pity they don’t come in other colors... They're OK. I recommend them!

The socks are quite light, but thanks to the wool, feet stay dry. After the whole day, they still don’t have an unpleasant smell. The cuff is comfortable, and the seams don't cause discomfort. It’s important to wash them at a maximum of 30°C on a wool cycle. I definitely recommend them.

Helikon Merino Olive Green/Coyote socks are my favorite for demanding conditions. In winter, even in February, they provided excellent protection—I didn’t put on another pair at night, and during the day they stayed warm without overheating. They wick moisture well and don’t cause chafing, even when walking in difficult terrain. From now on, I only use them for tough trips.

Very warm and comfortable socks, my feet practically don't sweat in them. After a whole day outdoors, I can confirm they’re worth the price.

I tested them today as a second layer over a thin sock and they worked great. My feet were happy, I really like the extra reinforcement on the toes and sole, which reaches up to the heel. They keep your feet warm but not overheated. Very cool.

Comfortable and warm socks, even after a week of use without washing they don’t have an unpleasant smell. They don’t chafe, and at this price it’s hard to find better if you’re looking for merino.

Unfortunately, I can’t recommend them—they are warm and comfortable, but after the first wash, pilling occurred and they look worn out. In my opinion, they’re not worth their price.

Very high-quality socks. It’s rare to find 80% merino at such a price. They stay on the foot well and don’t squeeze. They keep you warm even on colder days.

Good socks, worth their price. They protect feet from chafing both in winter and summer. On cold days, they keep feet warm without causing sweating, which meets my expectations.
