Very good material and careful workmanship. The price is also quite reasonable. It's important to choose the right size. Overall, I recommend it to anyone considering the purchase.
Helikon MBDU NyCo Rip-Stop Pants - MultiCam
The MBDU (Modern Battle Dress Uniform) model with MultiCam camouflage includes 8 functional pockets. Ideal for tactical and outdoor activities, it is also well-suited for daily urban use.
Durable Rip-Stop reinforced fabric, VersaStretch material
The pants are made from high-quality fabric with a weight of 225 g/m2, consisting of an equal blend of cotton and nylon. The Rip-Stop weave enhances resistance to abrasions and damage, while thicker threads create a reinforcing grid that reduces the risk of tears spreading. This makes the pants ideal for demanding field conditions, ensuring durability and comfort. Additionally, the VersaStretch (93% nylon, 7% elastane) material has been incorporated in the seat and crotch area to improve flexibility and provide greater freedom of movement.
8 practical pockets
The model is equipped with 8 spacious pockets:
- two inset hip pockets with reinforced edges
- two rear pockets with reinforced edges
- two spacious cargo pockets secured with buttons
- two smaller calf-height pockets secured with hook-and-loop fasteners
YKK zipper, adjustable waistband and leg cuffs, wide belt loops
Instead of a button, the model features a wide hook-and-loop fastener, allowing precise adjustment of the waistband to fit the body. The fly is fitted with a durable zipper from the renowned Japanese brand YKK. Wide belt loops accommodate belts up to 50 mm wide, ensuring stability even under heavy loads. Two front loops also include attachment points for securing small accessories. At the bottom of the pant legs, elastic drawcords with stoppers allow for width adjustment.

Camouflage MultiCam
MultiCam is a state-of-the-art camouflage pattern developed in 2002 by US company Crye Precision in cooperation with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior program. Its goal was to create a versatile camouflage pattern that is effective in varied terrain and changing environmental conditions. The MultiCam pattern consists of seven colors, creating gradient transitions between shades of green, brown and beige. As a result, it dynamically adapts to the background, adopting shades of green in forested areas or browns and beiges in desert regions - in Central and Eastern European environments, it works particularly well in autumn and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has gained worldwide recognition and is used by numerous armed forces and special units. In 2010, the camouflage was officially adopted by the US Army as the camouflage pattern for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the earlier Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also available to civilian users, making it a popular choice among military or airsoft enthusiasts.

Good product. There are many positive things to say about these pants – I'll try to keep it brief. They have a well-fitted but not too tight cut and very spacious cargo pockets that can fit even larger items. The pockets are positioned higher, so their contents don't get in the way when wearing the pants. There are also reinforcements in areas designed for attaching clips. On the back, the pants have two magazine pockets, and there are additional pockets under the knees, as well as elastic cords with drawstrings at the bottom of the legs. The double belt loops and the use of VersaStretch elastic material in the crotch area and lower back are, in my opinion, excellent solutions. The pants are fastened with a zipper and Velcro, which is convenient, although I'm not sure how long the Velcro will stay durable. In the "Multicam" version, the price is quite high, but it was worth buying thanks to a discount. The craftsmanship is of a very high standard, and I have no complaints.

These are yet another pair of Hel Ikona pants I own – they're well-made, very well designed, and I bought them again without hesitation. They work great at work, but I also wear them around town for everyday activities. The color is fine, and the pocket arrangement is a big plus. The promotional price is excellent.

Hello everyone. I believe this product is timeless – I've had my first pair of these pants for many years, and only now, when they've slightly faded, did I decide to buy a new pair. I've noticed that the material used seems a bit more modern, so time will tell if it's just as durable. At present, I can confidently recommend it, as it's definitely worth the purchase – especially since prices have recently returned to levels from a few years ago, which is an added bonus 😄

These ripstop cargo pants are breathable and simple – today I put them on when it was 5°C and instantly felt the chill ;) Compared to standard BDU, the legs are noticeably slimmer (regular fit), and the Velcro, just like in the UTP model, lets you better adjust the waistband. The elastic panels from the MCDU line significantly improve comfort and fit, and for those passionate about shooting or airsoft, they add a plus for the "tactical" aspect. The hip pockets are made of mesh and are rather shallow – there are also two small pockets, e.g., for a magazine. The cargo pockets on the thighs hold a lot, but their double-button closure may not ensure that small items don’t fall out during intense movement – it’s worth keeping this in mind. The calf pockets with Velcro are much more spacious than in the SFU Next; although I didn’t use them myself, for those interested, they are available. There are no back pockets (??) If the pants are on sale and you can use KSK points, I recommend them. The regular price from the manufacturer is quite inflated.
