The pants are very comfortable and flexible, offering freedom of movement. The material and construction are of high quality, and the camouflage looks excellent, maybe a little darker than in the pictures. They are definitely worth the money.
Helikon MBDU NyCo Rip-Stop Pants - Coyote
The MBDU (Modern Battle Dress Uniform) in Coyote is equipped with 8 functional pockets. Ideal for tactical scenarios and outdoor activities in the field as well as for daily urban wear.
Durable Rip-Stop reinforced fabric, VersaStretch material
The pants are made from high-quality fabric with a weight of 225 g/m2, consisting of an equal blend of cotton and nylon. The Rip-Stop weave enhances resistance to abrasions and damage, while thicker threads create a reinforcing grid that reduces the risk of tears spreading. This makes the pants ideal for demanding field conditions, ensuring durability and comfort. Additionally, the VersaStretch (93% nylon, 7% elastane) material has been incorporated in the seat and crotch area to improve flexibility and provide greater freedom of movement.
8 practical pockets
The model is equipped with 8 spacious pockets:
- two inset hip pockets with reinforced edges
- two rear pockets with reinforced edges
- two spacious cargo pockets secured with buttons
- two smaller calf-height pockets secured with hook-and-loop fasteners
YKK zipper, adjustable waistband and leg cuffs, wide belt loops
Instead of a button, the model features a wide hook-and-loop fastener, allowing precise adjustment of the waistband to fit the body. The fly is fitted with a durable zipper from the renowned Japanese brand YKK. Wide belt loops accommodate belts up to 50 mm wide, ensuring stability even under heavy loads. Two front loops also include attachment points for securing small accessories. At the bottom of the pant legs, elastic drawcords with stoppers allow for width adjustment.

These pants have been very well designed. Elastic inserts are placed where the pants stretch the most, they have huge cargo pockets, ankle drawstrings, double belt loops and many practical solutions. They are incredibly comfortable, and during promotions it's a shame not to buy them. The quality is top-notch.

The pants work great during outdoor use. They are very comfortable, provide good air circulation, and offer complete freedom of movement. The cut fits the silhouette, but the legs are a bit wider, which goes well with the material used. Additionally, they dry very quickly. They are easy to keep clean – a regular damp cloth is enough to remove natural dirt. The pockets are functional and well designed, making them easy to use. Another plus is the Velcro closure instead of a traditional button – a simple but very practical solution. I definitely recommend them.

Everything is fine, the only reservation is the lack of pockets for protectors, so if someone needs them, they have to use separate ones. They have just arrived, so they haven't been tested in the field yet, but despite the thin material, they look durable. So far, Helikon's equipment has not let me down.

I've had these pants for many years now and bought another pair, so now I have three pairs in total. I'm not of slim build, and I use them for work in various weather conditions. I have wide thighs, calves, and a large waist circumference (185 cm tall, 110-120 cm waist). I consider the pants to be sturdy, with the only downside being that, over time, they lose their color even though I wash them as recommended (30°C, special detergent, no fabric softener). They come with two small pockets behind the standard ones, two small pockets at calf height, and two large thigh pockets fastened with buttons. The large thigh pocket easily fits a Pentagon wallet, Tatonka organizer, cap, headphones, extra gloves, and if the large pocket is full, I put the wallet in the smaller pocket – it stays secure there. At the shooting range, a rifle magazine fits, as well as a lighter, e-cigarette, or a 60 ml oil bottle.

On one hand, the pants are very comfortable and have an interesting design, but on the other hand, they have a few flaws that can completely overshadow their advantages. First of all, the breathable fabric insert in the crotch has seams that really irritate the skin during movement. For people with thicker thighs, these seams can irritate the skin so much that wearing the pants becomes impossible. This issue doesn't only affect my pair—my friend had the same problem with his. There is a similar insert on the back under the waistband, and even though it doesn't have seams, when you sweat it absorbs moisture and becomes uncomfortable. Honestly, its presence is more of a hindrance than a help. Another downside is the leg pockets—they are very large, so your wallet and small items move around freely inside. A solution would be to slightly narrow them or divide them into compartments. Additionally, instead of buttons, Velcro is used, which wears out over time (I haven’t had this issue with other pants of this brand). It's hard to say whether this is due to poorer material quality. There are also a few small pockets missing, like in other models, to store, for example, a lighter. However, the cut of the pants fits very well and is comfortable.

The pants are well made, comfortable and practical, and the number and arrangement of pockets is a big plus. Sizes are easy to match. I managed to buy them on sale, so it was a great deal. The color is excellent. The package arrived very quickly.

The pants are well made and seem solid. Plus for the number and placement of pockets. The sizes are standard, so it's easy to choose the right one. The promotional price is very attractive.

Helikon MBDU pants made from NyCo Rip-Stop fabric combine durability with functionality. They are designed for intensive use, making them suitable both for outdoor expeditions and everyday activities. Multiple pockets increase their utility, while the traditional cut makes them versatile.
-
The material used for production is of high quality. The price is reasonable, but it's best to buy during a promotion – then it's really worth it. The pockets are thoughtfully placed.
-
The material is of good quality, the pockets are practically arranged. The price is more attractive during promotions. The only downside is the slightly misleading size chart, but if you choose the right size, the product is really great.
-
The pants stand out for their good quality and durability. The material is long-lasting, with additional reinforcements and special stitching. They look really good. The fit is relaxed and provides comfort. Unfortunately, I had to return them because they didn’t fit quite right, although maybe my expectations are too high. I rate them 4 out of 5.

These are my first pants of this model and what I can say about them is that they have fairly large and handy pockets, especially on the buttons, which can be very convenient for someone. The convenient pockets on the back are separated for magazines and are very, very convenient to use. The pants are adjustable at the cuffs, which is handy. I would like the manufacturer to add a loop for hooking with laces, then it would be very convenient and I would have no complaints at all. The pants are high-quality with handy pockets, and I don't even know what else to say. Very nice and comfortable pants.

This is already my fourth pair of these pants, so far they are the most comfortable style and the actual size matches the description. In my opinion, the RAL 7013 color is more saturated and darker than in the photo. I definitely recommend it.

Overall, very good pants – they are practical, functional, and have a great color. I am 186 cm tall, weigh 82 kg, and size M Long is just right for me (I have a rather unusual body shape: narrow waist, broad thighs). The only downside I noticed (though it might not bother everyone) is the cargo pocket closure – it is indeed a bit short, and when the pockets are heavily loaded, there may be some difficulties, depending on how one uses these pants. Other than that, I have no complaints: the pants are not baggy, they are stretchy and very comfortable. I definitely recommend them!
