Medium-sized waist pack in Adaptive Green/Coyote, combining high functionality with a discreet appearance. Made of durable, abrasion-resistant Cordura.
Main compartment, multiple pockets, organizer
The main compartment featuring a two-way YKK zipper stores essential items, basic medical supplies, and a lightweight jacket. Within, there's a mesh pocket with a zipper and a Velcro-mounted organizer with elastic loops and three flat pockets. The side wings are equipped with MOLLE/PALS webbing for the attachment of additional gear. On the front, a zippered pocket is available, as well as an extra internal pocket inside for storing documents. The Bandicoot model is compatible with the Versatile Insert System, enabling the use of various organizers.
Velcro panel
A Velcro panel on the front offers a place to attach patches, emblems, or morale badges—such as flags, insignias, or unit markers—allowing for gear customization.
Adjustable carrying strap
The pack comes equipped with a fully adjustable waist strap secured by a sturdy Woojin buckle. For convenience, the strap can be fully removed, allowing the pack to be attached directly to a belt.

This is already my second Helikon Bandicoot kidney pouch, this time I chose the black color. It is very spacious, sturdy, and doesn't attract attention. Inside, there's a Velcro organizer that can be replaced, for example, with a holster. I fully recommend this product.

I give it 5 stars because the kidney bag is really great. The high quality workmanship and very durable material make an impression. I really like the presence of practical pockets, which make it easy to organize everything. The only thing I can complain about is the strap, which came undone a few times on one side, but other than that, it's a product worth recommending.

I bought it as an alternative to the Bandicot. It's a bit more compact, and sometimes that's exactly what you need. Price-wise, it's more favorable than the aforementioned model. It easily holds daily essentials.

The waist bag is made of high-quality materials, well-organized inside with the right amount of space for everyday items or outings. The color is very nice, and the clips hold firmly. The stitching is solid. I also have the larger version of this waist bag, which I’ve used for a long time, and it works just as well, although this one is a bit smaller and doesn’t have a Velcro panel for an organizer—which I don’t think is necessary for this size. Inside, on the outer side, there’s a zippered pocket, just like in the bigger model, which works smoothly. I recommend buying it—the waist bag will last for years. It also has a slot for a belt with an extra zippered pocket that can be used as a wallet. It’s worth taking advantage of promotions—you can buy two for almost the price of one and have different colors to switch between!

Super comfortable waist bag. Because the straps are placed more towards the center, nothing wobbles. You can also easily attach it to your backpack's hip belt or a regular belt. There are also a few MOLLE loops on the outside. The buckle is a bit harder to open, which I actually prefer as it makes it more difficult for thieves. Nothing chafes on the inside of the belt either, which was the case with the Tasmanian Tiger Hip Bag, for example. I like TT, but in my opinion, this waist bag is better in almost every way.

This waist bag has been very cleverly designed – it has many pockets, compartments, and practical solutions. You can fit a lot of things in it, yet it’s not too big so it doesn’t get in the way while wearing it. The quality, as usual with Helikon, is top-notch, and the current promotion is truly amazing! It’s definitely worth having this model with you for basic gear when you’re out in the field, just in case you lose your backpack.
