I bought this product to clip on my dog who pulls on the leash. However, I had to add my own strap because the adjustment would loosen directly at the clasp with any tugging. I attach all the things I previously kept in my pockets or clipped to my pants' belts to the molle system. This way, I can quickly grab the whole set and go out. This method of use just came naturally.
