Badger Outdoor X-Thermo Tarp Black

Looking for my first tarp for camping, this one caught my attention. Its size works great for both sleeping in a hammock and building a simple, closed shelter. The middle layer really retains heat, making this tarp very comfortable to use on colder days.

Solid workmanship and reasonable price. It has grommets in the middle for attaching a frame, so it can be set up as a roof even without trees nearby. Great for weekend trips.

In my opinion, a great product – large, at a very attractive price (after checking other offers, I didn't find anything better except some questionable Chinese products), and the foil increases thermal comfort. It can be used as a shelter for several people or folded and used as a groundsheet under a sleeping pad.

Interesting tarp, looks solid, and I bought it with a hammock in mind. It has already passed its first test and the thermal layer really keeps in heat well, and the material doesn't leak. Unfortunately, the small number of mounting points limits it mainly to use with a hammock.

At this promotional price it’s worth it if you don’t mind the small number of attachment points. The main advantage is the silver layer that reflects light, which makes it easier to shelter from high temperatures on hot days.

This is my first tarp; before, I used a construction sheet. The seller convinced me to get the thermo version and I'm satisfied with it. The material seems more robust than in ordinary models. I added extra mounting points (bought at a hardware store), which allow me to set it up in different ways. I tested it in winter – it passed the test. On sale, it's unbeatable.

Very good bivouac tarp. The number of possible setups depends mainly on your own creativity. The only downside is the few attachment points, but with long enough cords you can easily solve this. The main advantage is the thermal insulation layer, which is why I decided to buy it. The cover is sturdy and easily fits all the gear.

I have tested it in practice. I have no complaints. It works well both in the rain and in the sun – it functions as it should. It serves well both as a sleeping cover and as ground insulation. Really good product!

It has accompanied me on several trips already, never leaked, and provides good wind protection. The only flaw is its large volume when folded, but strapped to the backpack it doesn't bother me at all.

The tarp works well for camping; the thermal coating effectively reflects sunlight, helping to keep the temperature lower underneath (we compared it to another tarp without this layer – the difference was noticeable; of course, in +30C heat this doesn't matter, but in normal temperatures it works very effectively). I would suggest adding more mounting points.

Probably the best bushcraft product I've bought. Performed great on a camping trip and easily survived two strong storms while my friends' tents "flew away." The only problem was insects, but using a mosquito net in the sleeping bag solved it. Definitely 10/10.

Badger Outdoor X-Thermo Tarp Olive is a very nice tarp, it is compact in size, but it would be good to add more attachment points so that it can be set up in more configurations.

The tarp fully meets its tasks. I've had about 8 camping trips with it, so I have some opinion. It looks fine, is easy to pack, and doesn't take up much space in the backpack. The main downside is the small number of attachment points, which limits setup options. As for the thermal layer—I can't really comment, as this is my first tarp of this type. If I had to choose again, I would pick more attachment points instead of the thermal option, but overall it serves well and let's hope it stays that way.

A very good tarp at a promotional price of 139.99 PLN. The material seems durable, does not rustle or wrinkle, and takes up little space when folded. The set includes a separate bag with a few stakes and guy lines. The only drawback is the lack of extra attachment points – it would be useful to have one more on each side and in the center of the tarp.
