MultiCam is an advanced camouflage design created in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as a part of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. It aims to develop a versatile camouflage pattern effective across diverse terrain and shifting environmental conditions. The MultiCam design features seven colors, forming gradient transitions between greens, browns, and beiges. This allows it to blend dynamically with the background, adopting green hues in forested areas or shades of brown and beige in desert settings. In Central and Eastern European regions, it is particularly effective during autumn and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has earned global acclaim and is utilized by numerous military and special forces units. In 2010, it was officially selected by the US Army as the camouflage pattern for soldiers in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The design is also accessible to civilian users, making it a favored choice among military or airsoft enthusiasts.
