Spacious hiking backpack featuring a hitch (beavertail) that enables easy carrying of a helmet/hard hat or extra garments. This backpack excels in hiking and survival scenarios.

The main compartment is crafted to hold a hydration system bag (camelbak). Positioned above is a small zippered pocket, ideal for storing keys, tools, and other small necessities. The front features a pocket with a vertical zipper for straightforward access to the main compartment.

Thanks to its roll-top closure, the main compartment offers superior tightness. Additionally, Velcro secures the compartment. A convenient transport handle on the top facilitates carrying the backpack with one hand.

On each side of the backpack are flat, elastic pockets suitable for water bottles or readily needed accessories. The side panels are equipped with two adjustable-length straps each, which fasten with Woojin buckles, allowing for compression depending on the backpack's contents.

The backpack permits equipment attachment and customization of accessibility through the MOLLE Lite strap system that runs along the sides and front (straps are 10 mm wide).

Designed for comfort, the carrying system ensures adequate back ventilation and appropriate rigidity (the stiffening plate can be removed to lessen weight).

Comfort is further enhanced by profiled suspenders with adjustable lengths, alongside a chest strap and broad hip belt. The hip belt features a convenient zippered pocket on either side for easy access to essentials without removing the backpack.

Very comfortable, spacious, and sturdy – Cordura works perfectly. I had it with me for a week in the mountains and it was flawless. In my opinion, it's the best backpack from Helikon, and the shadow grey color looks extremely discreet. This is my second Summit.

This is my first backpack from this Helikon series. I haven't had the chance to test it in the field yet, but it seems very solid. I really like the blue and black color combination. The external pocket is practical and will be useful for many purposes. A big plus is the two options for accessing the inside of the backpack—this was exactly what I was missing in the previous model (from a well-known and reputable outdoor brand), where the only top opening made it difficult to reach things stored deeper. At this promotional price, I think it's a great purchase.

A very well-made and very comfortable backpack, even when you pack a lot into it. The drawstring design offers plenty of space and with 40 liters it's perfect for 1-2 day trips.

The Helikon Summit 40L Coyote is a spacious and comfortable backpack, ideal for longer trips. I am satisfied with the purchase. The downside is the chest strap, which detaches easily and can be lost. Unfortunately, it's not possible to buy just the strap from the manufacturer, so if you lose it, only the hip belt remains.

This is already my second Summit backpack from Helikon. I was really glad when I saw it in blue—it looks great and performs even better. I’ve never had a more comfortable backpack, and it’s very practical for everyday use, especially since I only go to the store on foot or by bike, so its design is perfect for bigger shopping trips. It’s also excellent for trips or for packing sports equipment for training. I really like the flexible side pockets—they let you quickly stow away a food container, extra purchases, or your daily cup or bottle. Additionally, this color makes the backpack less conspicuous as a typical “military/tactical” bag, which really suits me, because it also fits a more casual outfit and more official occasions, like conferences.

The backpack has a practical design, I especially like the mesh pockets. The carrying system is easy to adjust and the closure is very convenient – I especially recommend it to people who use drybags and like lightweight solutions. For me, the capacity is sufficient. The only downside might be the price, but good quality is worth paying for. A product worth recommending!

Speed hiking, that is, quickly traversing mountain trails with a backpack—even one weighing several kilograms—has led to the creation of special backpack models, but they are rarely produced. These backpacks fit great on the back, although sometimes they have a system that is too complex and they can be quite delicate. I have one—it's really amazing, but like any specialized model of this kind, its uses are limited. During a demanding, rainy trek in the mountains, I fell and even managed to damage the buckle of a very solid expedition backpack—a light one made for speed hiking wouldn't have survived such a situation and my trip would have ended there. That's why they're not very popular; they're best suited for short trips near civilization. On the other hand, long-distance hikers on trails like the CDT or PCT have developed a very simple and reliable type of backpack: one compartment, roll-top closure, side pockets, and a large mesh front pocket, made of strong materials and with low weight. The Summit was created based on this design—Helikon made a few changes, including a pocket on the front, at the neck, on the hip belt, and front access. Interestingly, even outdoor companies treat it as a military model, but it's really a typical ultralight. Most Summit users are very satisfied. I regretted not buying the blue version—even with different clothes, the backpack looks quite military and attracts attention, which isn't always desirable—especially when wild camping. As soon as I saw the blue version at a good price, I didn't hesitate—and you can always mask bright colors with a cover or poncho. The backpack itself is very durable—I carried even 21-22 kg in it and it was still comfortable, usually I carry 15-17 kg. There were times when I trained with 35 kg on my back over 200-250 km in a week (not in the Summit), so with 16 kg the Summit makes you forget about the weight. It holds very well and allows very dynamic movement in the mountains. I also have a classic UL backpack with the same dimensions and weight as the Summit, but made from weaker material and designed for lighter loads; here, the Summit is clearly better in quality and comfort. The front opening is especially useful for me at campsites, where after removing the essentials I use it as a travel bag—it's a very handy solution, especially when you need to pack up quickly in the morning. As for capacity, it's about 45 liters plus the pockets at maximum, about 15 liters plus the pockets when compressed, and most comfortable around 35 liters. It works best with light and compact gear—then it's suitable even for multi-week expeditions. There isn't enough space for typical heavy camping gear. My only remark is about the hip belt pockets—they could be bigger—and the lack of a reinforced bottom, which is already standard elsewhere.

The biggest advantages of this backpack are its light weight and large capacity. These features combined with high-quality materials, such as Cordura, Woojin buckles and YKK zippers, as well as the Helikon brand, make it a product worth recommending.

Very nice backpack – it's lightweight and practical. I use it for trips and overnight stays in the open air. The front zipper provides quick access to the inside, and the mesh pockets in front let you store wet clothes or shoes during trips to the seaside.

Great, lightweight backpack. At this price, it's hard to find something better. It's perfect both for the mountains and for tactical use. A big plus is the holder for a jacket or helmet, and the ability to open the backpack without having to take everything out from inside.

The backpack is really big, I didn't think it would be this much. The design is successful, the capacity is great, and it's comfortable to use. I'll still see how it is with durability, I'm a bit worried about the mesh, but otherwise everything is fine. Perfect for 2-3 day trips.

The backpack is very lightweight and comfortable to wear. Keep in mind that its structure resembles a sack. I recommend buying additional side pockets, like General Purpose or E&E, to have space for small items. With such a tall backpack, the hip belt becomes really useful.

At this price, especially considering the capacity, it’s really a great choice. I rate it 5/5.

The backpack easily fits items for a three-day trip. It seems both lightweight and durable. Well-made. It is very comfortable, although the shoulder straps are stiff at first, but should break in over time. The beaver tail pocket is very spacious—I managed to fit a rolled-up wool blanket in it. Highly recommended.
