Helikon Ranger MK2 Metal Body compass - Grey

A very useful compass. It is durable and well made. The illuminated markings work great after dark. An additional advantage is a very well-written instruction manual, thanks to which I learned how to use the compass in the field. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

It's well made and the dial quickly points in the right direction. I bought it for learning land navigation and working with maps. The case looks durable, and I hope it will last a long time.

This compass is good. It has many advantages, and the aluminum casing makes it resistant to damage. The luminous elements are clear after exposure to light. The only drawback is the slow response of the needle – in my case, it takes 3-5 seconds. The included instructions are in English and explain usage well, but it's also worth watching detailed videos on YouTube, as you can do more with this compass.

As soon as you pick it up, you can tell this is not a toy for children, but solid equipment. Opening the compass requires a little resistance, same with closing it, so it won't rattle in your backpack. I bought the original Helikon case for the compass, which protects it well, although the compass itself becomes sealed and well protected once folded.
