Great product. At first it seems heavy, but when you put it on your back, the weight is unnoticeable (of course, after longer use it might become noticeable). My only remark concerns the photos from the manufacturer, stores, and users – it looks a bit different everywhere. In reality, the colors may differ from those shown in the photos.

PenCott BadLands camouflage
PenCott is an advanced second-generation system of modern digital camouflage patterns developed by the British company Hyde Definition. Its distinctive feature is a multi-layered pattern structure that includes micro, meso, and macro elements.
PenCott BadLands is a camouflage variant designed for use in dry, semi-open areas such as steppes, scrublands, grassy terrain, and hilly transitional zones. It was developed with environments dominated by faded vegetation, dry soil, and variable lighting in mind. The pattern shares the same structure as other PenCott camouflages—combining realistic color noise, a dense micropattern, and contrasting elements that distort the silhouette. The BadLands color palette includes shades of beige, olive, brown, and light green, creating a pattern that blends naturally into transitional and dry landscapes.

The backpack looks great at first, but it has serious drawbacks. The straps are slippery and thin, so they easily slip out of the buckles when worn. It would be better if there were adjusters on each strap. After the right adjustments, the backpack fits very well on the back and is very comfortable. The Velcro straps for tucking in excess straps are useless – they scratched my forearms when putting it on, so I replaced them with loops and clips. After the modifications, it's great. The helmet pocket works perfectly for carrying binoculars.

Fantastic backpack, very high quality. Perfect workmanship, excellently thought-out pocket arrangement. The whole construction is reinforced, and the adjustment of the shoulders and straps has a wide range.

This particular backpack was recommended to me by a specialist; I use it every day as my EDC and I'm extremely satisfied. The backpack is very comfortable and spacious, and the stiffened back increases comfort and ensures that nothing presses against my back.

The backpack is carefully made, durable, and resistant – after almost daily use for half a year, signs of wear are minimal. The main compartment is spacious, and the smaller pockets are very functional. It's a pity there are few places to attach additional gear, like a sleeping mat or sleeping bag, so you have to manage with strings and carabiners. PASGT-type helmets barely fit in the carrier, while the FAST type fits without issues. The color of the backpack is fine, but the straps are much lighter than in the photo, which spoils the appearance a bit – although in summer the backpack blends in well with the grass. The backpack tips over even when fully loaded, which can be annoying and results from its shape, but on the upside, the weight is well distributed and easy to carry. Additional features include a buckle on the straps and a hip belt. Overall, it is a successful backpack, although at this price, it is worth considering a different, more universal model. It will work well for patrol, but it's not ideal for longer trips or in the forest. I bought it at the earlier price – almost 600 PLN – but received a voucher as compensation. If I could, I’d choose a different color or model.

I use this backpack for work every day and it suits this purpose perfectly. It has very well-designed mesh pockets, a large main compartment, and several smaller zippered pockets.
-
Very good backpack – spacious and solidly made from high-quality materials. A huge advantage is the possibility of comfortable attachment of a carrier for a helmet or a hard hat. I definitely recommend it!
-
I've been using the backpack for a few months – tested both on the training ground and at the border. Even with heavy use, there are no signs of wear (the cordura really holds up). The main and top compartments are very spacious, and both helmet and carrier fit without any problem. I recommend it.

Great backpack with an amazing look. Perfect for cycling – has a special place for a hydration pack and helmet.
-
Great backpack, and the earth brown color looks fantastic.
-
The backpack is exactly what I expected – as usual, Helikon maintains a high standard and never drops below their usual quality.

This backpack made a really good impression on me – it might just become my favorite. Helikon provided lots of pockets and compartments. The size is perfect, not too big or too small. I haven't had the chance to test it in the field yet, but I can already recommend it!

Great backpack, I use it every day. It fits a lot of stuff.

It's extremely comfortable and sturdy. I definitely recommend it.

Wearing this backpack is pure pleasure, and the capacity pleasantly surprised me. The extra pocket on the straps is very practical for small items or a phone. I use the pocket in the front behind the velcro panel the least, but the mesh organizer in the main compartment works great. The straps for attaching compression straps are comfortable and don't get in the way while walking. The hip belt is also a plus — while it's not very wide and might not be ideal for long summer outings, I'm still glad it's there.
