I already have a few backpacks, but this one also tempted me. I use several Helikon products and I’m always satisfied with the quality. This backpack also met my expectations. It’s a bit 'baggy' – when empty it doesn’t look as impressive ;) but it’s very roomy and has plenty of extra spots for attaching gear or pouches. The straps are wide and comfortable. The reinforced back works very well. If you find it at a good price, it’s worth getting without hesitation.
Matilda backpack from the Bushcraft Line is a result of cooperation between Helikon and SurvivalTech brands, designed for survival and long outdoor expedition enthusiasts. With a capacity of 50 liters, it allows you to comfortably carry the gear you need for several days of escapades. Robust construction and a well-thought-out system of space organization make it a reliable companion for any adventure.
The backpack uses proven, durable materials, such as 500D Cordura and 210D nylon, which ensures resistance to mechanical damage and harsh weather conditions. The main compartment with a capacity of 39 liters and external pockets have been secured with flaps, under which there are adjustable drawstring extensions. Such a solution effectively protects the contents from dirt, moisture and accidental loss of equipment.
The backpack was designed with maximum functionality in mind, so it is equipped with a system of MOLLE/PALS webbing, located on the hip strap, sides, front and inside the main compartment. This allows you to conveniently attach additional pockets and accessories, allowing you to customize the configuration of the backpack. Side straps allow you to attach a sleeping pad or tent, while four straps on the bottom allow you to cinch a sleeping bag or jacket with straps or paracord cord.
Carrying comfort is provided by an ergonomic carrying system, consisting of a back padded with a plastic plate and an aluminum frame. The whole is complemented by shock-absorbing cushions covered with breathable mesh, improving air circulation and increasing comfort during long marches. Fitted to the shape of the body, the wide shoulder straps and adjustable and detachable hip strap evenly distribute the weight of the equipment, which significantly relieves the pressure on the back.
The Matilda model has many thoughtful details that increase its functionality. The main compartment features MOLLE webbing and a strap for hanging a water tank, and exits for the hydration system tube are located on both sides of the backpack. The flap, which closes with two sturdy buckles, is equipped with elastic piping and a zippered pocket, and its interior conceals a mesh compartment also secured with a zipper. Three front pockets, metal drains on the bottom and grommets for securely carrying a hatchet or knife are other elements that make the backpack extremely practical.
High quality workmanship, the use of YKK zippers and ergonomic solutions make the Matilda backpack meet the expectations of even the most demanding users. Additional amenities, such as side compression straps, transport handle, 9 x 5 cm velcro panel or adjustable shoulder straps with chest strap and buckles for quick release, make it an ideal choice for both long expeditions and everyday use in the field.

This is the best backpack I've had so far – it worked well on the training ground, during marches, and on the border. It has a durable construction, no threads sticking out, and it doesn't let rain in. It was maximally loaded and weighed down, yet the material remained intact, and the plastic parts survive stepping on, slamming, and impacts. Despite having less capacity than standard mountain backpacks, I definitely prefer to use it over a military one.
-
Very good backpack, I use it for trips to various abandoned locations where it's easy to get tears. Despite this, it still looks like new. I recommend it.
-
A very good backpack, I didn’t expect such high quality. Wide, stiff straps. The color is a bit lighter than in the photo. Very spacious. I can wholeheartedly recommend this model.
-
I don't regret buying it. Thanks to using KSK points, I paid 290 PLN and in my opinion, it's hard to find something better for this price. The big advantages are the use of Cordura, capacity, the possibility to attach extra pockets, reinforced back, hip belt, and chest strap. I definitely recommend it.

Very solid, spacious, and practical backpack. After five outings with a load of 15-24kg, it performed excellently. It also works flawlessly in the forest and does not absorb moisture from the environment. It also survived transport in the airplane's baggage compartment without any damage.
-
It is very comfortable and roomy. The price may be a bit high, but it's worth paying extra for such product quality.
-
This is the best backpack I've had – it fits everything you need for a few days. Don't pay attention to the price, it's worth getting it. Helikon is a brand you can trust.
-
It is solid, can fit well to the figure, and the straps and suspenders do not cause discomfort.

Great backpack for trips. The thoughtfully designed frame makes it easy to pack for a two- or three-day outing in the woods. The external pockets are very spacious and easily fit, for example, a rolled-up jacket, food, or canteens. The main compartment is large and can fit even big sleeping bags, obviously after compression, and when you close the flap you gain even more space. The backpack has been used in various conditions – forests, mountains, kayaking, lakes – and not once did it fail, nor does it show any signs of damage.
-
The backpack proved itself during the first trips to the forest. At this point, I have no complaints. It has a solid construction, the main compartment is very spacious, and the pockets also hold quite a few things, so it's easy to organize all your gear. It's perfect for trips lasting 2-3 days. This is exactly the model I was looking for.

Bought at a promotional price. After the first trip – very positive impressions. The backpack will likely last a long time.

I thought about buying this backpack for a long time. I've been using it for almost two years now and haven't found any major flaws. It easily fits a tarp, hammock, sleeping bag, stove, hatchet, water, and still has some room left. Now I'm ordering additional scout or E&E pouch pockets so I can access my gear easily without having to look deep into the backpack. The hip belt is very comfortable.
-
Fantastic, especially for people who like to have everything within reach. The side adjustment straps make even a larger tent hold on perfectly as if it were part of the backpack. The hip belt is very comfortable and can be easily adjusted thanks to the molle system. The main compartment is much more spacious than I expected – I get the impression the backpack offers more space than the declared 35 liters. By adding a drop bag and E&E pocket, you gain even more space. I recommend it to everyone who doesn’t go for ultralight gear.

The backpack is based on the proven Alice design, adapted for bushcraft needs. It performs great when used in the forest.
