This bag was originally used to carry a gas mask in the British army. After a not very complicated modification, removing the internal fittings for the mask, it works great as a classic shoulder bag. Although it comes from army surplus, it is very durable. I definitely recommend it.

DPM Camouflage - Disruptive Pattern Material
DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material) is a classic British military camouflage pattern that dates back to World War II, with the official design developed in the 1960s. Despite its age, the DPM remained the main camouflage pattern of the British Armed Forces until 2016, and is still used today in some units and by cadets. The camouflage is characterized by large, irregular patches in shades of green, brown, beige and black, which effectively deform the silhouette and provide good camouflage in forested and wooded temperate conditions - especially in spring and summer. The pattern has subtly evolved over the decades, as evidenced by modifications to the colors and shapes of the spots.

It is spacious enough and very well made. The pocket layout is suited to its original use, but the bag is also great as a substitute for a camera bag, for example.

The bag shows signs of use, such as scuffing or fading – it will probably look better after washing. After removing the internal gas mask mounts, it turned out to be very spacious. The material is very sturdy, almost indestructible, so the bag should last for years. I plan to use it as a handlebar bike pannier with the option to detach and carry it on my shoulder. I recommend it!

I give 5 stars because for a used bag, it is in excellent condition. My piece had a slight warehouse smell and was a bit dusty, but after washing the colors regained their intensity. It’s really worth buying, I recommend it. The price is also very attractive.
